Volunteerism

Each year, Cargill employees around the world give thousands of hours of volunteer service to their communities. Cargill is proud to promote volunteerism as a way to enrich our communities, build teamwork, strengthen our neighborhoods, and utilize our unique talents.

Employee Volunteerism

Cargill encourages all employees to share their time and talent to enrich our communities. Our corporate employee volunteerism policy allows employees to take up to two hours per month from work to participate in Cargill-sponsored community service or volunteer opportunities.

Cargill Cares Councils

As Cargill strives to be a global leader in citizenship, our network of Cargill Cares Councils are helping us make a difference in our communities around the world. These councils engage employees in local communities, plan workplace volunteer activities, and in many cases allocate the location’s grantmaking resources. More than 200 councils have been established in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America.

Volunteer Recognition

All employees and retirees are invited to nominate a colleague or themselves for the Cargill Cares Volunteer Award in recognition of outstanding volunteer service. Each year, 100 individuals or teams are recognized with this elite honor.

The company also supports the following volunteerism programs:
