Team environment

From day one you’ll be part of a team

Working within law at Cargill exposes you to a wide range of legal issues and offers you the chance to develop broad legal expertise. From day one, you will be assigned significant client responsibilities as part of a global team that manages the legal needs for one or more businesses, departments, or Cargill affiliates around the world.

You’ll want to quickly develop an understanding of the business in order to partner strategically with your client toward common goals.Cargill employee in Switzerland office.

Counseling and advising clients

In our team-based structure, each lawyer counsels clients, and advises and represents them on most legal issues. You may call on Cargill colleagues who are subject matter specialists, such as environmental and employment lawyers. And in some cases, you may manage the work of outside counsel.

This collaborative team approach fosters rapid and continued professional development and personal and client satisfaction.

Our emphasis on teamwork means each lawyer finds doors open and colleagues willing to assist when greater experience or assistance in balancing workload is required. Our mentoring program and group leaders provide support and guidance in the development of lawyers.

We are firmly committed to sharing experience and expertise among our lawyers. As a result, the atmosphere of our “practice” is informal, collegial and collaborative.
