With our offices spread between Latin America, Europe and Asia, the sugar and ethanol business in Cargill is truly global — both geographically and how we conduct our business. Trade flows often involve multiple offices and countries.

Brazil is our primary sugar supplier, however, Argentina, Thailand, Central America and South Africa are also important originators.

Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, we have a strong trading team, with a diverse background that reflects our geography. We rigorously monitor the market, supply and demand, and associated risk on a daily basis.

Our traders work on raw sugar, white sugar or ethanol trading activities; our top goal is to be a reliable supplier to multinational companies.

Our trading philosophy is based on thorough market analysis, and position taking for ourselves and our customers, while providing innovative origination and stock financing packages.

In addition, we have deep expertise within risk management, and can provide forward freight hedging services in trucks, rail, vessels and containers.
