Commercial/Trading
Belgium

Graduating from the University of Antwerp as a commercial engineer, I was armed with a lot of knowledge, a keen interest in trading and a desire to travel. Through an acquaintance, I learned about Cargill’s Graduate Program. This really appealed to me. Interviews in Mechelen, Ghent and Amsterdam strengthened my desire to work for Cargill.

I recently started working for the feed ingredients team of Cargill Benelux, based in Ghent. The first six months of my training took place in Amsterdam. From my first day I learned a lot about Cargill’s way of working and its businesses, and continue to do so. Everyday I become more familiar with the factors that influence trading.

What I like about Cargill is that it first sets a very good learning foundation and then builds from there. Everyday the general picture evolves in more specific tasks.

In the future, I expect  to gradually take over trading areas, enlarge my network and develop myself.
