Developing Global Criteria for Responsible Soy Production
The Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS) is focused on promoting economic, social and environmentally sustainable soy production, processing and trading.
An international multi-stakeholder forum of industry, financial and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the RTRS is working on developing a definition and agreeing global criteria for responsible soy production.
Cargill is an active member of the RTRS and is represented on the Board by ABIOVE (Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries). Along with other members of the RTRS, we are sharing information, best practices, ideas and approaches, as part of industry’s commitment globally to working in partnership with other key stakeholders around the world to develop and put in place a responsible and sustainable approach to soy production.
The RTRS is currently developing global Principles and Criteria for responsible soy production, processing and commerce in all regions in the world, which will be shared with RTRS members for consideration as well as be made available for public consultation.
