Cargill Wet-End Paper Making Starches

Wet-End Paper Making Starches

Contact us

The paper-making process involves a complex mix of natural and synthetic polymers interacting through mechanical shear forces. Cargill’s cationic starches for the wet-end production phase are far more than just dry strength additives. They give manufacturers greater control over the paper-making process, improving the formation, drainage, retention and strength of the final sheet.

Benefits of wet-end cationic starches:

  • Increased fiber and ash retention
  • Improved process runnability
  • Better dewatering behavior
  • Wide range of cationicity
  • Cost-effectiveness
