Automotive seats Automotive seats require 5 different foam formulas. Use, wear and tearing all contribute to performance requirements. Seats need to offer cushioning over bumps as well as maintain consistent durability and compression over long-term use. Automotive manufacturers are looking for opportunities to use more sustainable resources in their products as well as develop vehicles that leave a smaller environmental footprint over their life and use. But just as importantly, the materials you use must be durable, perform to your specifications and be cost effective. BiOH® polyols allows 8-10% replacement of petroleum-based polyols while achieving consistent key performance characteristics without increasing materials costs.

  • Reduce overall costs of raw material
  • Reduce pricing volatility
  • Support sustainability supply chain initiatives with renewable-sourced foams
  • Maintain key performance characteristics
