The creation of traditional wheat beers, such as the typical German “Weissbier” or Belgian style “Witbier”, requires high quality wheat malts to start with.

With a keen eye on the typical character of this beer style and the tradition in which it is rooted, Cargill relies on top-quality French brewing wheat varieties for the production of its wheat malt.

Cargill’s wheat malt production is located in our Strasbourg malthouse, in the heart of the traditional wheat beer production region. This offers a logistic advantage to our customers, enabling us to work in close collaboration with them and truly understand their needs and requirements.
