The Technology Application Specialist (TAS) is responsible for deployment of swine technologies developed by local and global SMT. The TAS technical liaison between the sales team and research, management, and SMT. He/she supports interactions with clients and prospective customers, helping them understand how Cargill Animal Nutrition can provide solutions for them and improve profitability. The TAS assures that new technologies and tools are utilized to provide competitive customer focused solutions. He/she reports to the species TAM.





Principal Accountabilities





70% Establish and build effective customer and co-worker relationships to maintain existing as well as gain new business. Support sales efforts with customers and prospects via phone, e-mail and on-site visits to understand and solve complex customer issues. Prepare visit reports Enter Proficient at record analysis systems. Creating feeding formulas for the clients.



15% Keep abreast of technical developments in the industry and relay this information to the marketing/sales group via written and verbal presentations. Plan meetings and develop presentations when appropriate. Prepare articles for magazines based on Cargill knowledge.



15%. Support SMT and FSQR to develop and proof NPSS. Arrange and supervise trials with customers.







Education, Experience, Skills





Minimum Required Qualifications

• Special Veterinarian/Zootechnition education (university grade)

• 5

+ years industry experience (swine)

• Experience with special feed optimization programs and database support

• English language not lower than Intermediate



Preferred Qualifications

• Proven communication and collaboration skills

• Strong emphasis in species technologies

• Nutrition and economic skills





Role may require travel up to 80%.
