+ University degree in marketing/communications/ trade-marketing/ business

+ >4 years relevant work experience that demonstrates proficiency in Marketing/Trade Marketing of consumer and commercial related products, preferably in animal feeds

+ Demonstrated understanding of marketing principles, tools and vehicles

+ Competency in understanding & management of media (digital, social, trade, etc.)

+ Experience developing & implementing marketing support/activation plans

+ Experience analyzing marketing campaign effectiveness

+ Experience managing external agencies to design & effectively execute marketing concepts

+ Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and influence for cross-functional teams

+ Background presentations, storytelling, multi-tasking skills with a willingness to learn, along with creating narratives to captivate, influence, and persuade targeted audiences and stakeholders as a plus

+ Strong written and oral communication skills - clear, concise, creative and persuasive

+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability of responsible decision making

+ Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload and tasks

+ Highly organized and self-motivated, able to set and follow priorities, manage multiple projects and deadlines

+ Must be a team player who has a proven ability to work across multiple job families and multiple layers of the organization

+ Effective project management skills

+ Understanding of technology and work experience with digital communication vehicles and how to effectively leverage it internally and externally

+ Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

+ Fluency in English (>Upper Intermediate)


Market Intelligence (20%):

+ Market mapping: assesses the size of the market by specie
stage of life and customer segment in terms of both volume and profit

+ Performs analysis by competitor environment

+ Delivers & communicates key learnings and recommendations into organization thru category scorecard
snapshot, category overview (SWOT, key trends), competitor deck, etc.

Portfolio & NPSS management (30%):

+ Develops and executes Purina product portfolio strategy by species/customer segments, based on market and segment needs

+ Collaborates across the business to ensure strategic market based pricing, revenue and profitability goals are met

+ Leads the development and implementation of a three-year innovation (NPSS) strategy, pipeline, and execution roadmap.

+ Leads cross-functional NPSS species teams (Marketing, Technology, Sales) driving the innovation pipeline and product life-cycles.

+ Manages NPSS initiatives through the life-cycle

+ Uses Customer Focused Development (CFD) approach, project management process and Marketing Academy tools to identify, develop and launch new value-creating products, services and solutions.

+ Develops & introduces the local marketing plan (LIP): strategic marketing & sales plans, collaborates on execution with Marketing Communication Team.

+ Provides internal trainings

Development and Implementation of Purina Marketing Support Plan: (40%)

+ Briefs for, develops & executes tactical marketing plans for product portfolio support (i.e. people, positioning, product, pricing, packaging, place, promotion)

+ Leads accurate, timely & successful execution of Puirna brand internal marketing communication & activities plan.

+ Implements the marketing communication strategy through maintenance and execution of communication channels (e-mail marketing, social media, web content) by sourcing, writing, editing and publishing content, along with other efforts (e.g. Power Point product decks, print, trade media, product apps, webinars, trade shows, customer collateral, etc.) This is accomplished personally as well as directly leading external resources such as independant contractors and creative agencies & indirectly managed marketing communication team

+ Defines & applies efficient marketing tools for building brand awareness & driving growth

Reporting & Budget Management: (10%)

+ The Marketing Manager develops Purina marketing budget, manages accuracy of spendings on the regular basis.

+ The Marketing manager is responsible for providing marketing support efficiency metrics & projects oversight (cost estimating, results)

+ Accountable for business results –revenue by New products, services, and solutions (NPSS).
