Position Purpose & Summary Proactively support the Segment/Product Line Lead to the build of the Segment/Product Line(S/PL) strategy and with limited oversight support it’s communication & execution including launches, SKU management etc; to effectively & independently liaise between the relevant functions, to proactively ensure the optimal value creation and return on investment through cross function collaboration; back-up/delegate for the S/PL managers as needed; and maintain a high level of product knowledge and expertise.
_45% Direct support to the Product Line Manager_
+ Support the build and execution of the Segment/Product Line (S/PL) strategy and delivery of the budgeted value creation and preparation for subsequent years (Annual plan, 3 years' business plan and strategy)
+ Deputise for the Segment/ Product Line lead as required
+ SKU portfolio management in alignment with Product Line Manager including ensuring the coherence of the portfolio by application & functionality (including cross product line) ; in alignment with the S/PL strategy and plans; and ensuring the relevant documentation is maintained; and including the segmentation of the portfolio into differentiated, mid value and commodity products and the creation of the value propositions for at least the differentiated products
+ SKU management in alignment with Product Line Manager including core, ripe, new and current products etc, e.g. new product management, rationalization, re-formulation etc - to conclusion, ensuring the coherence of the portfolio and including specification definition (with FSQR - quality), method development (with process and product development teams), full documentation, alignment to FSQR/legislation/accreditations etc; initiating new SKU creation, managing sample software, follow up & tracking of success and specifically build the value proposition for our products; and lead SKU management meetings to ensure alignment; in alignment with the S/PL strategy and plans
+ Deliver S/PL technical trainings aligned with the S/PL _30% Internal Liaison and Collaboration_
+ Primary liaison with all the relevant functions as product technical expert
+ toensure the exchange of data, information, trends, competitive activities is supplied to the S/PL leaders to support the strategy build and execution
+ to ensure the execution of the S/PL strategy, plans, launches and projects including NPSS(new product service or solution), business optimization, etc. _10% Assurance of customer delivery_
+ IBP management (led by the IBP manager) including preparation of the data used in the IBP process and specifically supporting opportunity review step (led by S/PL M, Product Specialist to delegate for, intheir absence) & demand review (led by S/PL M, Product Specialist to delegate for, in their absence) e.g. production planning, allocation management & ensure full communication across the stakeholders _15% Assurance of Customer Satisfaction_
+ Product launch coherence (led by the Project Manager) including management of any new products, all technical documentation, training, follow up & tracking of success etc as PL tag
Minimum Required Qualifications
+ BSc (or BAC 5)or equivalent vocational education/apprenticeship in Food Science, Chemistry, Technology or related topic
+ More than 10 years experience once fully trained (7y if MSc; 5y if Ph.D) in Technical Service provision for texturizing ingredients in the food industry; Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project management or applications or technical service or similar
+ Technical knowledge and experience in Carrageenan and BioPolymers. Practical experience in applying ingredients in food.
+ Experience in an appropriate Ingredient supplier in R&D preferably in PPD, TS, Applications
+ Experience with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
+ Experience at building competitive advantage through the use of the organization’s technical capabilities, and by providing product innovation and other creative solutions. Experience on how to effectively execute within a matrix organization. Good tolerance of ambiguity combined with an active approach to problem- solving
+ Fluent in spoken and written English and at least one of the following Dutch/French/German/Italian/Polish/Spanish as a minimum
+ Experience in project management
+ Awareness of negotiation
+ Experience in prioritization / time management
+ Experience in presentation skills
+ Ability to translate industry/market trends into new opportunities and solutions for existing and new customers/markets.
+ Ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of the competition and develop solution strategies
