Description As Reliability Superintendent you develop and deploy reliability strategies to maintain healthy plant assets and equipment capabilities through leadership of the Proactive Team of the Maintenance & Reliability organization. This will be possible by developing and deploying the maintenance processes, together with the Maintenance Manager and the Maintenance Superintendent, by balancing priorities, tasks and resources in order to maximize reliability performance in a sustainable way. You have opportunities to improve processes, people knowledge, engagement and costs will be captured while complying with EHS and Food safety requirements. Activities include development, alignment and implementation of reliability excellence practices/processes, proactive maintenance and repair, contractor/vendor evaluation/management, best practice application, people development, training and management.
+ You will be responsible for Reliability Excellence Governance (develop, align and implement)
+ In collaboration with the Maintenance Superintendent you ensure that the Equipment Reliability Strategies (ERS) plan is in place and executed
+ You support with reliability knowledge the execution of the asset criticality and support precision maintenance skills with reliability knowledge
+ You will be responsible for compliance with all legal activities and acting as nominated person where required (according plant organization when required)
+ You deploy a continuous improvement process based on effective KPIs and improve efficiency and effectiveness identifying opportunities through work preparation processes and capture of feedbacks
+ You repare/support preparation and follow critical tasks in particular during shut down and Special Maintenance Activities
+ You will be responsible for the appropriate pre-scheduling and delegation of activities for a team of maintenance/reliability employees and 3rd party PdM providers (if applicable)
+ You participate in and support new capital investment project initiatives with assets reliability input.
+ You act as Project Leader, when requested, of replacement/maintenance projects and manage on-going maintenance/reliability related projects
+ You recommends/approves selection of contractors/vendors and PdM providers based on their reliability knowledge and precision maintenance practices
+ You participate in the contractors’ selection and evaluation processes and align suppliers
+ You ensure procedures are documented to provide processes sustainability and capture maintenance and reliability best practices
+ You ensure that safety and food safety requirements/procedure/acceptance criteria
+ You take care of budget management
+ You will be responsible for the people management in area of responsibility including recruiting, retention, development and engagement of the proactive team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
+ Engineering Academic degree (Mechanical or Electrical)
+ Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance supervisory or reliability role in at least small medium size plant
+ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
+ Personal drive and commitment for M&R processes and execution effectiveness
+ Demonstrated effective systematic problem-solving skills
+ Promoter of continuous improvement and usage of RE tool for failure understanding, courage and adaptability, makes process stimulation and management of knowledge sharing
+ Adequate computer skills with standard software packages
+ Practical knowledge for PdM technologies such as: Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infra Red, Ultra Sound, and Motor Circuit Evaluation
+ Conversant with FMEA and able to facilitate multiple RCFA and RCM processes
+ Knowledge should be supported by relevant industry standardized training
+ Demonstrated experience in leading M&R execution teams in a complex facility
+ Experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment, chemical/starchy industry is a plus
+ Role in different maintenance & reliability positions might serve as a basis provided proved record of sustained recorded achievements
+ Business acumen to translate performance gaps in his field of activity and improvement to bottom-line maintenance costs
+ Demonstrated effective verbal communication skills including training, facilitating meetings and events, written reports and presentations and project updates (if needed) and organizational capability
+ Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken)
