Travel: up to 40% based on project requirements This role is part ofour Analytical Chemistry Centre of Expertise (CoE) for the Food Safety, Qualityand Regulatory (FSQR) function which supports all business units acrossCargill’s platform Food Ingredients & Bio-Industrial (FIBI) in the EMEAregion. As a Rapid Technology (RT) Application Professional you will coordinateand support the implementation, deployment and maintenance of different rapidtechnologies at specific locations across FIBI EMEA region. The main focuswithin RT is on the Near-Infrared (NIR) technology for offline (benchtop) aswell as online applications. The person in this position will be responsiblefor coordination of the implementation of the rapid technology equipment (NIRand other technologies) at the locations and assures support and maintenance.
_DeployRT NIR Platform (65%)_
+ Execute andimplement projects of RT (NIR) at selected locations, including setting upproject plans, assessment of local analysis and sampling, defining standardanalysis and analysing programs for the related parameters, training ofemployees and/or key users at the locations;
+ Support theimplementation and installation of NIR equipment, sampling, calibrations andtesting, and follow up of the project until the stable working situation isachieved;
+ Maintain existingimplementations and ensure governance;
+ Support introubleshooting and sharing feedback and actively support to improve the existingplatform;
+ Keep existingequipment up-to-date with the latest calibrations (new crop, etc.);
+ Compile and reportperformance results of the deployed systems to various stakeholders. _Manualsand instructions (15%)_
+ Actively support inthe creation of guidelines, procedures and instructions, governance;
+ Provide detaileddescriptions of implementation flows at the plants;
+ Keep all BestPractices up-to-date and inform the locations of the needed changes. _Support(15%)_
+ Ensure continuationof the required analysis during various projects (consult the lab coordinator,prepare reports, etc.); _Training(5%)_
+ Develop trainingdocuments, organize and give trainings or support to locations.
+ Minimum Bachelor’s degree inChemistry, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline;
+ Some formal training in FoodScience, Food Technology or related fields is strongly preferred;
+ At least 2 years’experience working in a laboratory environment;
+ At least 1 year hands-onexperience with Near-Infrared (NIR) technology;
+ Proven project managementskills with the ability to apply a structured, disciplined approach toplanning, administering and completing projects successfully;
+ Continuous improvementtraining & experience Knowledge;
+ Demonstrated practicalknowledge of manufacturing processes and operations;
+ Statistical processmanagement knowledge;
+ Experience with LaboratoryInformation Management Systems (LIMS), e.g. Unilab, Interspec, Report Manager,Minitab
+ Fluent in English, otherEuropean languages are an advantage;
+ Confident and professionalcommunication and presentation manner with ability to interact withstakeholders on all levels within the organization.
