Job location: Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands This role is part of our Analytical Chemistry Centre of Expertise (CoE) for the Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) function which supports all business units across Cargill’s platform Food Ingredients & Bio-Industrial (FIBI) in the EMEA region. As Lab Technician, you will take on various duties and responsibilities in several key areas, including Analytics, Reporting, and Housekeeping.

Major Tasks



_Analytics_

You work in the central lab and your main task will be executing analyses. The results that are produced will be the basis for further actions within the different product lines and/or businesses.

_Reporting_

You process and report all the results to the Coordinator and the Analytical Lead. Before reporting, it is your responsibility to assess and validate the obtained results by checking the equipment, reference materials, standard and/or duplicate results.

_Housekeeping_

You perform housekeeping and maintenance of equipment and handle calibrations. You support a safe working environment through your own actions. You also support the stock management of lab consumables and chemicals. You support and maintain the GLP in the lab.



Qualifications



Qualifications

+ Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline;

+ At least 3 years of experience as analyst;

+ Structured, detail-oriented, accurate and pragmatic approach to work;

+ Strong analytical skills with solid scientific knowledge;

+ Good knowledge of Word and Excel;

+ Good communication skills and business fluency in Dutch and English;

+ Solution-focused team player;

+ Some experience with GLP, Rapid Technologies, NIR, LIMS
