Executive - Settlement Analyst

Position Purpose: Trade and Capital Markets (TCM) compliments the efforts of Cargill commodity business units by providing financial solutions to Cargill’s business partners (suppliers and buyers). TCM’s experience and expertise in global financial markets aid in mitigating documentary, cross-border and credit risks associated with trade finance. TCM plays a key role in funding the global operations of Cargill through cross-border funding structures and management of transferablity and convertibility risks. In additional to trade finance and internal funding, TCM also leverages Cargill’s international trade flows to create trade structures that provide funding to emerging market-based financial institutions and corporations. The candidate will be responsible to handle the trade and administration support aspects of the Trade & Capital Markets activities basis established procedures and in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure compliance to the TCM guidelines and procedures. Responsibilities also include preparation of documents using templates, KYC reviews, electronic and physical file maintenance, handling of periodic rate resets and working with other local and regional offices to ensure that appropriate Cargill controls are included in the process.

Principal Accountabilities

* Trade and administrative support to TCM Transaction Management Team basis established procedures – including but not limited to preparation of documents using templates, preparation of template emails for 2nd review, handling of periodic rate resets with external counter-parties, data input and maintenance of trade & counter-party data in systems, electronic & physical file management, tracking and coordinating routine internal office requests, including but not limited to printing, arranging documents for execution, scanning and courier.--60% * Perform KYC support for Cargill Entities & KYC review of external counterparties and conduct deal specific review & screening of trade related documentation in line with established procedures & documentation/communication with TM colleagues on findings.--30% * Compilation of data, preparation of reports and materials as requested, supporting the TM team with various projects, activities, requests and tasks as needed or requested- 10%


Education, Experience, Skills Minimum Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting/Economics plus 2 - 5 years of relevant business experience * Understanding of trade finance business * Strong people/teamwork skills, yet able to work independently * Proven ability to take initiative to independently analyze and solve problems * Demonstrated knowledge of internal control structure & compliance * Good oral and written communication skills * Ability to work flexible hours to support global counterparties and global TCM team * Integrity, strong attention to detail, and thoroughness and accuracy in work * Good organizational skills with ability to perform well under pressure and manage multiple priorities * Ability to adapt positively to an ever-changing environment * Familiarity with Mircrosoft office applications Preferred Qualifications * Fluent in oral and written English * Familiar with ICC publications and use of various types of instruments including LCs, Bills of Exchange, SBLCs, BGs, etc * Experience in loan administration in a financial institution. * Basic knowledge of accounting would be preferred
