Position Purpose & Summary

As a member of BOSC team in the country, reporting to Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for * Leading the operational activities viz hiring warehouses, commodity management & upkeep monitoring, safe storage and managing logistics effectively and efficiently in North zone. * To work closely within CASC functions and responsible for execution as per business requirements, keeping Safety first in supervising operations of warehousing & logistics. * Compliance to SOPs of warehousing & logistics and building supply chain solutions within policy framework for maintaining lead in the market for stock management as per defined 5 pillars of operations (Risk management, operational effectiveness, reliability excellence, talent management & capital effectiveness). * The role required to collaborate with the respective product line merchandising leads (grains, oilseeds, pulses & cotton) to execute the operations of stirage & managing supply chain at ground level. * Be proactive and sensitive to market information for sharing insights with trade team for taking informed decisions

Principal Accountabilities


Operational effectiveness keeping safety first - 50% * Drive safety in day to day operations monitoring for warehousing & logistics; as a culture across functions in designated territory. * Effective management of day to day activities for respective zone, providing efficiency in commodity shrink management and booking new warehouses to store cargo. * Crop survey for agri commodities as per requirement. * Work closely with the origination team to support and execute marketing game plans by providing support of taking services of warehousing & logistics at best prices. * Ensuring compliance with business process SOPs and guidelines. * Creation & submission of documents as listed for each inward/outward activity. * Complete online and F2F trainings organized for managing supply chain activities – HOPs, LIFEsavers, 4S, PPEs, Defensive driving, Traffic safety etc. * Understand and report transactions executed on electronic platforms – NCDEX/MCX * Managing rake operations efficiently Team Management - 30% * The incumbent will directly lead the operations of warehousing & logistics in the designated territory by building deep understanding of commodity market for storage and quality parameters. * Provide the team with clear objectives and tasks of operations – safety, efficiency and effective controls for better upkeep of commodities stored. * Frequent trainings on safety, crop survey & operational activities to follow designated SOPs. * Conduct weekly and monthly reviews to update performance of the team against defined targets. * Motivate the team by rewarding safe practices. * Ensure safety become a culture in team Reporting & Analytics - 20% * Provide warehousing universe, logistics & market insights, competition activity on regular basis. * Keep track of operational savings by way of better negotiations, empty space waivers or reduced lockin for spaces hired for storage. * Ensuring document submission to Mandi authroities, creation of e way bill for movement of goods. * Timely submission of all MIS reports with required analysis – Daily tool box meetings,Commodity health report, Overloading compliance report, shrink management, monthly expenses on travelling, purchase of PPEs, stationary printing for safety signages, stationary for maintaining proper warehousing records, daily transaction report, empanelment of transporters, surveyors & warehouse service providers, ensuring proper documentations and vendor code creation in system, tracking of invoice receipt from service providers and submission to accounts team


Required Qualifications

: * Minimum 8-10 years experience in managing operations in agri-commodity organization. * Strong interpersonal skills and Negotiation skills * Knowledge of quality specifications, in depth understanding of commodities storage, maintenance & logistics

: * MBA
