Using information from Cargill resources and suppliers, maintain database on hazard classes for ingredients to permit creation of hazard labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to comply with WHMIS 2015 regulations in Canada. You will support GHS compliance and create tags/labels for manufactured finished feeds as well as MSDS. The employee will also establish products within our formulation software to meet nutrient and ingredient specifications with raw materials available at individual manufacturing locations across Canada. You will provide support for product customization and provide technical support to the manufacturing and quality assurance teams.

Principal Accountabilities

+ 60% GHS (Global Harmonizes System) compliance/implementation of SAP-EHS. Ensure compliance with GHS policies in the plants across the country.

+ 20% Create and maintain updates tags. Maintain files for Sign off/(customers) and Vet Scripts. Maintain database on hazard classes for ingredients to permit creation of hazard labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to comply with WHMIS 2015 regulations in Canada

+ 10% Create/ modify formulas for new or established products using our formulation software. Continuously be updated of nutritional and chemical quality of FG, and support in decisions to mitigate deviations

+ 5% At selected manufacturing plants setup custom feeds developed with sales consultants.

+ 5% Support team goals as required.


Required Qualifications

+ Diploma or Bachelor degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Animal Science Technology, or similar

+ Being bilingual French / English is a strong asset for this position

+ Ability to effectively manage the pressure of a fast-paced teamwork environment with multiple project priorities

+ Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office

+ Ability to work on computers for the majority of the work day

+ Innovative team player dedicated to customer service and relationship building

+ Strong proof reading skills with a commitment to ensure accuracy

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Demonstrated understanding of nutritional concepts

+ Experienced with computers and familiar with word processing, spreadsheets and least-cost formulation software
