Job location: Any major Starches and Sweeteners plants in Europe. For example; Manchester (UK), Haubourdin (France), Sas v Gent or Bergen op Zoom (Netherlands), Krefeld or Hamburg (Germany), Martorell (Spain) Cargill’s Starches and Sweeteners business is at the hub of the global food industry producing sweeteners, wheat protein and alcohol for customers in the confectionery, brewing, drink, dairy, farming and bakery sectors. The prime purpose is to support CSST (Cargill Starches and Sweeteners) EMEA Plants in gaining a competitive advantage in plant productivity and achievement of the targets of reduced operating cost focusing on deploying the proactive maintenance concept requirements and the Reliability Excellence processes (such as, but not limited to, EMS, RCM, crafts skills development, precision maintenance and RCA) to maximize reliability performance in a sustainable way and to capture all opportunities for processes improved awhile reducing total cost. The CSST EMEA Reliability Engineer is responsible for identifying and standardizing mechanical maintenance & reliability (M&R) best practices across region sites, defining and deploying the regional condition monitoring program for selected asset types through a continuous improvement approach. This position is responsible for driving the improvement of our enterprise M&R and value creation from reliability engineering through applying knowledge and experience in both production and maintenance areas to ensure continuous improvement to optimize the company’s physical assets and M&R processes and strategy. The position is key in creating and managing changes in the extended Reliability Community as we optimize our overall maintenance and reliability organization.

Major Tasks:



+ The consistent application of Group leading reliability engineering practices like, but not limited to, bad actors’ identification and elimination program, supporting RCA events and deploying innovative solutions for improved maintenance efficiency to restore asset integrity and carry out investigations into failures to eliminate their root causes along with reliability support to Capex to ensure appropriate built process

+ Enhancing development and correct application of reliability techniques such as Equipment Maintenance Strategies, RCM, crafts skills developments, precision maintenance and RCA will drive productivity in locations by reducing operating cost and improving overall equipment effectiveness and assets utilization

+ Provide training and training/educational material to all levels ranging from BU senior management to plant workforce as appropriate. Organize and deliver skill enhancement and comprehension/testing for the complete M&R family

+ All opportunities will be captured while complying with EHS and Food Safety requirements and in alignment with Reliability Excellence/Group practices/processes



Qualifications



Qualifications

+ Mechanical Engineering Master Degree

+ Relevant experience in maintenance or operation at complex, multiple plant operations.

+ Experience in asset management process within a manufacturing/engineering/operation environment, chemical/starchy industry is a plus.

+ Experience on CHP (boilers, gas turbines and steam turbine. Priority is gas turbines).

+ Proven ability to influence results peers, management teams and non-direct reporting M&R local teams.

+ Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; including training, facilitating meetings and events, written reports and presentations and project updates.

+ Personal drive and commitment for M&R processes and strategies and execution effectiveness.

+ Ability to mentor others on M&R principles.

+ Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment, and failures.

+ Demonstrated experience in delivering costs savings through process optimization and working through others.

+ Project management skills and ability to work within and improve upon processes/systems.

+ Experience using RCM techniques, RCA, precision maintenance and Predictive Technologies (e.g. infrared, acoustic emissions, tribology, etc.) to create a proactive work environment that is focused on continuous improvement at best cost.

+ Knowledge of the M&R processes and Workflow.

+ Promoter of continuous improvement and usage of RE tool for failure identification (5W, RCA).

+ Frequent travelling throughout Europe is required (50% of time)
