Cargill CSST Product Line Team is focused on developing and implementing the strategy for the product lines to achieve business growth objectives and results defined in the CSST APAC Business Plan, for the dynamic and fast growing APAC market. As the Product Line Specialist of Functional Systems (FS) & Hydrocolloids (HC), you will be part of the key driving force for business growth in China and Asia, leveraging Cargill’s broad product portfolio, leading customer intimacy and mature R&D and operational franchise. You will achieve this by supporting strategy development, pipeline management and project execution for FS and HC businesses in the region. In this role, you will take part in every facets of achieving business and growth objectives. This means you work extensively across the entire organization, with Sales, R&D, Supply-chain, Operations and FSQR, etc. You will be involved to shape the business strategy and deliver the future impact, from beginning to end. 40% Strategic priorities * Support Product Line Manager to implement product line strategy in key markets of SE Asia, China, Japan and Australia * Coordinate with R&D and commercial teams to manage and execute the progress of the innovation pipeline projects including development of new products and new applications * Regularly review product portfolio as well as Price List, with the objective of maximizing profitability of the business in line with market dynamics * Support to develop and execute annual launch plan by coordinating with marketing team, technical & commercial teams * Business intelligence support including accurate collection and analyses of competitive dynamics, application trends, etc. * Support Product Line Manager to develop product line strategy by forecasting 3-5 years. 40% Customer Focus initiatives * Support Product Line Manager to achieve targets with the allocated budget to drive the growth of Functional Systems and Hydrocolloids business * Support to develop customer mapping in key categories identified both from business intelligence and sales pipeline by working with commercial teams to identify potential customers, identify issues and support to promote solution * Manage the product manuals with unique positioning of Cargill’s solutions, in support the commercial organization with the sharp focus on key categories / customers * Work with and support the commercial organization to understand key customer challenges, deliver clear value proposition and recommend the appropriate solution to solve customer’s problems * Collect customer input/insight from sales and through customer meetings to be integrated as part of product line strategy with the help of business intelligence depending on the product or project 20% Influence and engage people in the organization * Work collaboratively with cross functional team to deliver for business, including Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations, etc. * Support and coordinate with global teams to drive business and promote Product Line projects and initiatives
Required Qualifications * Bachelor or Master degree * 5 years’ experience in food industry with a broad understanding of the markets and customers * Understanding of value / technical selling * Strong intellectual curiosity * Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills * Proven ability to demonstrate effective communications and interpersonal skills * Proven process orientation, especially around sales processes * Proven ability to operate effectively in matrix organizations * English as a working language Preferred Qualifications * Experience with FS and / or HC ingredients * Track record of business success based on customer intimacy & technology focus * Proven ability to drive Sales performance following defined business and enterprise strategies / priorities Competencies: 1) Work well within an environment of ambiguity 2) Keen sense of priorities 3) Pursue and re-enforce collaboration 4) Hold self and other accountable 5) Challenge, innovate, change
