As the Maintenance Millwright your primary job requirement is to oversee & implement the plant maintenance program to maintain optimum functionality and reliability for all plant equipment at Cargill Rycroft, McLennan, and Fairview Alberta locations, with the potential to travel to other locations to provide support and training. Maintenance Millwright is responsible for maintenance and reliability in the most efficient and workman like manner. Performs jobs such as troubleshooting equipment, inspections, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and repairs. Interacts on a regular basis with management, peer maintenance and facility personnel along with contractors/vendors. The Maintenance Millwright in this position requires the employee to operate multiple tools such as battery, electric, hand and pneumatic, basic measuring/NDT instruments, cutting and welding tools, spark resistant tools, rigging equipment, mobile equipment, safety equipment, PPE and general shop equipment Principal Accountabilities

+ Ensure safe, timely and satisfactory completion of all mechanical maintenance work

+ Investigates and solve maintenance issues (such as lubrication, welding, plant troubleshooting, repair of equipment, proper use of fasteners, gaskets, bushings, and tools), and provide solutions to problems

+ Troubleshoot equipment to ensure effective and efficient operations.

+ Repairs equipment as necessary.

+ Participates in Cause Mapping analysis.

+ Inputs work information/updates in SAP. Enter notifications and time confirmations utilizing maintenance computer program.

+ Performs pre-job hazard analysis type worksheets and permits to work

+ Maintain and improve the plants preventive/predictive maintenance system

+ Participates in ongoing maintenance skill level improvement training and apply what they have learned.

+ Performs all requested tasks professionally and in a reasonable time frame.

+ Is flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.

+ Communicates/shares the status of all maintenance activities and projects with peers and management as necessary.

+ Reads and interprets work orders, job plans, drawings, technical specification and equipment/manufacturer manuals.

+ Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation.

+ Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work.

+ Represent the plant interests in all capital improvement projects

+ Adhere to Labor Canada and COSH regulations, and follow all Cargill safety rules and regulations.

+ Attend various mandatory safety and department meetings.

+ Complete all housekeeping assignments, work to improve the condition of the department, and work as a team member with a positive attitude.

+ Maintain a professional relationship by active collaboration with other departments in the plant

+ Communicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.

+ Assist other plant personnel as needed, and will perform any

+ Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

+ Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old

+ Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces

+ Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

+ Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold

+ Ability to work in elevated areas

+ Must be able to operate machinery

+ Must be able to read/write English

+ High School diploma or equivalent

+ Basic computer skills

+ Ability to work overtime

+ At least 3 years of experience in production related work

+ Journeyman Millwright trade certification or other relevant industrial certification ex. Electrician

+ Must be able to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication and mechanical maintenance

+ At least 1 years of experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning)

+ Travels to the Cargill Rycroft, Fairview and McLennan locations. Travel to other Cargill locations may be required at times for support, training, and meetings Preferred:

+ Inter-provincial Red Seal Journeyman

+ Able to perform physical job duties including shoveling

+ Able to operate heavy equipment

+ Forklift certified

+ Able to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

+ Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, machinist, pumps and piping systems and hydraulic and pneumatic systems

+ Possess basic knowledge of industrial safety, food safety and environmental regulations with absolute commitment to safety

+ Self-starter with ability to work effectively and lead within a team environment. Able to work safely and efficiently without direct supervision, and to manage the safe work of contractor.

+ Strong problem solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a high-performing team

+ Knowledge of the Maintenance Reliability process (predictive and preventative maintenance) and Predictive Technologies

+ Agricultural experience

+ Automation control will be considered an asset

+ Electrician certification will be considered an asset

+ Able to perform maintenance trades including lubrication, pumps and piping systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic

+ Demonstrated computer skills including data entry and data retrieval

+ Mechanical aptitude to work from all types of blueprints, maintenance manuals, and drawings and the mathematical knowledge required for such work

+ Ability to price, plan and lead capital projects for the plant This full time position is located in Rycroft, McLennan and Fairview; however; please expect receiving calls from a 204 area code in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.
