Position

position will interface with company sales, marketing, technical and operation leaders plus dealers and the end feed customer to build, implement and execute on new product/service launches.

Principal Accountabilities

STRATEGY EXECUTION (25%)

+ Executes approved marketing strategy and business implementation for small to medium scope projects or a product line in alignment with broader species goals (primarily Retail).

+ Provides input to the overall marketing strategy and programs including implementation. The role will include product conceptualization, registration of concept/label/brand, including brand and channel management strategies, managing the product portfolio, pricing and promotional strategies. NEW PRODUCT, SERVICE, AND SOLUTION EXECUTION (30%)

+ Collaborates with multiple functions (e.g. SMT, Sales, Formulation, BOSC, Legal, and Finance) to create, develop, launch and support sales of innovative products and programs to drive new business growth.

+ Monitors the business performance of new products during its launch phase (awareness, adoption, volume/margin growth, etc.). MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS (25%)

+ Develops brand communication strategies in line with marketing strategies defined and Implement it within timeframe and agreed budget resources.

+ Manage relationship with advertising agencies for creation of advertising and promotional materials (print and digital), by driving the right creative and closely following up the progress to ensure quality results. RESEARCH & ANALYTICS (5%)

+ Collects, analyzes and utilizes the competitive information to support decision-making process of pricing and branding activities.

+ Responsible for general market research and or market analysis projects and for the systematic and structured capture of customer and competitor information. CUSTOMER COLLABORATION & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (5%)

+ Collaborates with the Sales Team to contribute to overall objectives and growth strategies for new and existing products.

+ In collaboration with the sales/account managers, executes customer events. BUDGET MANAGEMENT (5%)

+ Is responsible for project and/or species budget for key marketing-related activities, including advertising, promotional items, tradeshows. PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (5%)

+ Grow personal skills & capabilities to serve current and future corporate needs and personal career-pathing goals. Be actively engaged, be a safety champion, and help the business grow financially.

Qualifications



Required:



+ Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural or business discipline or equivalent experience in business

+ 2 years of business experience, preferably in marketing, communication or sales

+ Experience in leading projects, managing resources, preparing new product introductions, and measuring results

+ Experience in financial management including budgets, expenses

+ Bilingual in French & English (written, verbal)

+ Proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence and lead change

+ Highly organized, self-starter able to set and follow priorities and manage multiple projects

+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Demonstrated experience engaging directly with customers with a positive impact

+ Functional in the use of basic computer program such as word, excel, power-point, etc.

+ Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred:



+ Preferred experience in animal nutrition business

+ Project management experience
