Position Purpose

This allows for "one version of the truth" and enables data to be turned more effectively and efficiently into business insight and commercial value.This insight will allow for timely actions to be taken by Cargill's businesses in the marketplace. The Finance Master Data Analyst position will be a steady state maintenance specialist of one or a combination of these finance master data areas – Chart of accounts, organization hierarchy, Treasury, and/or Tax – and will cover master data used in the corporate systems (ex SAP FC consolidation system) as well as the ERP GL systems (ex SAP or JDE).This position should be knowledgeable and skilled in both the core business processes as well as systems used related to object setup/maintenance.This position will work across Finance to ensure we are enabling Cargill’s goal in realizing value through treating data as a corporate asset.

Principal Accountabilities

60%Process compliance, planning and execution

+ Oversee E2E data maintenance process for finance master data objects

+ Monitor request queues in Remedy Force

+ Ensure proper business and/or function approval received on each request

+ Perform Finance master data maintenance activities in MDG

+ Monitor for data integrity and address failures

+ Perform/monitor replication to target ERP system

+ Validate data is in sync between MDG and target ERP and address discrepancies

+ Communicate changes as appropriate

+ Proficiency with the finance master data objects, including both process and field definitions, as well as understanding of the role of the objects in the business processes and systems 20%Data management, Research & Analysis, Systems and Reporting

+ Ability to take complex scenarios and issues and resolve them.

+ Data analysis of submitted requests by the business.

+ Metrics reporting, including monitoring of SLA. 20%Client Interaction and Business Partnership

+ Provide support to businesses by answering questions on requests that are in progress.

+ Redirect business contacts to appropriate parties and recommend solutions, when needed.

+ Research issues that businesses may have with records to determine the best course of action.


Required Qualifications

+ High School Diploma

+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent job experience

+ 2-3 years of Business Process experience

+ Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask

+ Excellent teamwork and people skills, positive attitude

+ Ability to work on multiple parallel deliverables

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and as a member of a team

+ Problem solving skills

+ Ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels of the organization

+ English Level – B2

+ Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with JDE/SAP

+ 1-2 years of Master data experience

+ Associate or bachelor’s degree
