Position Purpose

The Master Data Process Consultant position will be accountable for the process and systems design around Master Data Management on Customers, Vendors or Materials Master Data objects procedures and controls. This position should be knowledgeable and skilled in both the core business processes as well as systems used related to object setup/maintenance and core configurations. This position will work across Cargill functions and departments to ensure we are enabling Cargill’s goal in realizing value through treating data as a corporate asset.

Principal Accountabilities

30%Process Compliance, planning and execution

+ Responsible for assisting with integration of Master Data Management activities including process compliance, education and security across multiple BU/Functions.

+ With some oversight, analyzes and interprets Master Data Management processes and information gained through specific business and analytical insights, and guides key stakeholders from multiple BUs/Functions on how to use this data to make sound business decisions.

+ Ability to map and design Master Data process flows for different ERP environment

+ Oversees process execution of maintenance activities on Customers, Vendors or Materials Master Data objects in ERP systems, in compliance with pre-defined data standards.

+ Oversee output of master data request processors, ensuring that the maintenance of data is done in compliance with pre-defined data standards.

+ Comply with all the Master data policies from each domain; ensuring documentation of internal processes, procedures and tools are maintained accurately.

+ Partners with Master Data Analyst for audits & Control Risk Owners (CRO) responsibilities.

+ Provides comprehensive insight to supervisors and individuals regarding the interpretation and delivery of policies, programs and processes. 30%Data management, Research & Analysis, Systems and Reporting

+ Oversee E2E data maintenance process mapping for different master data objects.

+ Communicate changes and ensure process readiness.

+ Escalate to GPO/Advisor repeated issues.

+ Create and maintain training documents and standard operating procedures; perform training as needed.

+ Own the Remedy Force request templates and work with IT team to make any needed updates.

+ Proficiency with the master data objects, including both process and field definitions, as well as understanding of the role of the objects in the business processes and systems

+ Participate in the Data Issues forum raising issues and identifying continuous improvement opportunities on the E2E process.

+ Provides experienced support in Master Data Management solution development, communication, training and implementation.

+ Consults with the Project Integration Lead during the work plan and schedule for Master Data Management, Maintenance, solution Migrations, Deployments, Acquisitions and Joint Ventures 20%Process improvement and best practices

+ Assist the Master Data Analysis and Functional Design Working Group for ERP Deployments.

+ Perform data analysis of problem and assist in Solutioning.

+ Perform impact assessment (data standards, data definitions, E2E process, and documentation).

+ Review and Test solution alternatives.

+ Implements and provides input to the development of operations policies, procedures and internal controls.

+ Actively participates in process improvement activities to ensure system and data accuracy and efficiency as business develops.

+ May recognize risks and provides general insight to the design of controls to mitigate and/or eliminate risks.

+ Acts as skilled support contact between the IT development group and BUs/Functions for the development and implementation of new systems, and enhancement of existing systems.

+ Compiles designs and integration points across Master Data Maintenance solution to ensure business requirements are met. 20%Client Interaction and Business Partnership

+ Create and maintain effective working relationship with the Master Data Analysis and Design Working Group that is made up of Data Architects, Data Stewards, and Data Specialists

+ Key contact to multiples team from different domains and GPO/Advisor for answering questions on requests in process

+ Applies a full understanding of process & solution management to identify best practices and suggests how to improve current practices across the local Master Data Operations.


Required Qualifications

+ 5 years of business experience related to Master Data Management

+ 5 years of business process design experience

+ 2 years of process mapping experience

+ Proficiency in Process Consultant & Projects type of roles

+ Proficiency in Functional Design

+ ERP experience, preferably SAP and/or JDE

+ Proven SAP FICO/MM experience

+ Bachelor’s Degree on Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent job experience

+ English Level – C1

Preferred Qualifications

+ Internal Controls experience (COSO, CFR policies, TGRC policies)

+ Project Management expertise

+ Problem solving skills

+ SAP FICO/MM certification

+ Six Sigma - Green Belt Certification

+ Scrum Master Certification
