Job location: Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands This role is part of ourAnalytical Chemistry Centre of Expertise (CoE) for the Food Safety, Quality andRegulatory (FSQR) function which supports all business units across Cargill’splatform Food Ingredients & Bio-Industrial (FIBI) in the EMEA region. As a Process& Quality Optimization Senior Expert it is your responsibility to lead andexecute key projects within the chemistry domain of the business. The projectswithin your scope will concern new methods, technologies, ContinuousImprovement (CI) initiatives, organizational structures and deployment of rapidtechnology (RT) across multiple locations. In this role you will collaborate closelywith the Analytical Lead, RT Lead and (Laboratory Information ManagementSystems (LIMS) Lead to ensure a timely and cost-efficient delivery of allprojects within the scope.
_Projects anddevelopment of new applications (70%)_
+ Convert high level strategy’s ideas intoprojects, with clear steps, milestones, staffing and cost;Work closely together with the Analytical, RT and LIMS teams to roll out newsolutions across the businesses with the aim to implement new methods, equipmentor applications, or a new organization structure;
+ Take the lead in projects across locations /businesses projects;
+ Develop new applications in close collaborationwith different internal and external teams;
+ Apply project management approach for all projects(a structured approach to planning, administering and completing projectssuccessfully);
+ Use deep expertise knowledge to understandtopics and define project approach. _Support businesses(15%)_
+ Provide expert knowledge and support to thebusinesses with regards to processing, Quality Control or specific in-depthstudies for CI or new customer requests. _Best Practices &Documentation (10%)_
+ Write guidelines, procedures, instructions;
+ Provide clear project charter and follow updocumentation. _Training (5%)_
+ Develop training documents and give support in theorganization and execution of trainings.
+ Master’s degree or above in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related scientific disciplines
+ Min 8 y experience within chemicalanalysis, ideally within large matrix organizations
+ Ability to achieveresults in a global environment with diverse groups of people
+ Proven project management skills
+ Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) on all levels in the organization
+ Strong analytical skills with the needed scientific knowledge
+ Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
+ Experienced with Continuous Improvement processes
+ Some knowledge of NIR spectroscopy and previous calibration and/or implementation experience in this domain is preferred
