As food safety and quality specialist (FSQR) you are responsible to ensure effective food safety and quality management systems are in place and that they are aligned to customer regulatory, industry BU and corporate requirements. You support the entire organization by providing coordination, training, information and service in relation to these systems.

Major Tasks

+ You are responsible for developing food safety and quality management programs in line with corporate food safety and certification requirements.

+ You are accountable for the implementation of these programs across the organization.

+ You are responsible for auditing, analysing and reporting on the performance of these programs.

+ You review and approve GMP pharma documents (including procedures, work instructions, batch records).

+ You are responsible for batch release of products for use in pharmaceutical applications.

+ You are responsible for food safety awareness creation by training and information campaigns.

+ You are responsible for training employees on GMP pharma.

+ You are responsible for the execution, reporting and follow up of internal and external audits.

+ You are responsible for reporting and accountable for follow up of near misses through product safety alerts.

+ You are responsible for setting up and maintaining systems to improve plant hygiene and GMP.

+ You are responsible for supplier & external manufacturer qualification related to FSQR.

+ You are responsible for the coordination of customer and internal incident management.

+ You are responsible for product and customer specification management.

+ You support the go-to market organization by providing service in line with customer segmentation and service level agreement.

+ You are responsible for regulatory compliance verification by keeping track on changes in legislation and setting up analytical monitoring schemes.

+ You advise and decide on out of spec product destination, during work hours or on consignment.

+ You are responsible for the organization and execution of product quality reviews.

+ You support and if needed replace the FSQR manager during crisis situations.


+ Bachelor technical degree in science (Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry)

+ 2-5-year experience in (food) industry

+ Be a role model for integrity and courage

+ Fluent skills in Dutch and English

+ Be customer-focused and achievement-driven

+ Fluent computer skills and knowledge of common software packages.

+ Practical /pragmatic approach to problem solving & timely solution execution

+ Manage conflicting priorities within tight deadlines

+ Excellent interpersonal skills

+ Ability to lead, coach, engage and develop teams

+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.

+ Strong collaboration skills to get things done within a matrix organization.

+ Excellent networking skill to build internal and external networks.

+ Excellent organization skills to set priorities.

+ Able to take decisions and get things done
