Position Purpose & Summary: The Regional Data Conversion Lead is an advanced data professional who provides overall data conversion leadership and is responsible for all BU facing Data Conversion related activities for one or more SAP projects. This role has the in-depth knowledge of data and processes to be able to educate, partner and support BU data teams regarding the processes for data mapping, data construction, data validations and resolving data deficiencies prior to data loads. The individual in this role will partner closely with the Instance Data Conversion Advisor to ensure data conversion design, build, test and load activities are aligned with the needs of the project and ensure data is being effectively usable by the business. The Regional Data Conversion lead will drive the executing tasks related to the Data Conversion work plan.

Principal Accountabilities:

_Project execution and value realization_

+ Participates in business readiness (in partnership with the Value CoE), requirements gathering and solution assessment phases of an SAP project for data conversion through post go live support

+ Serves as the primary on site point of contact towards the extended project team for all data related matters

+ Partners with PMO to ensure Data Deployment Strategy aligns with the Project Plan. Ensure transparency with RDC/DBT and other up and downstream dependent teams

+ Oversee the data resolution activities for defects or gaps identified from validation reports and readiness reports and ensure they are resolved by the BU or through the Instance Data Conversion role for each data load cycle

+ Actively work with the deployment team members to answer data mapping or integration questions during each phase of the deployment cycle

+ Accountable to ensure completion of legacy to SAP Field Mapping Documents in partnership with the BU data team

+ Develops & Tracks Entry/Exit criteria for Mock Loads in partnership with Deployment Lead

+ Accountable for reviewing Data Readiness against entry and exit criteria for Mock Loads

+ Validation of converted/constructed data with BU and Data teams – DBT Migration Team

+ In partnership with BU Data Lead, ensures data mapping, data construction, and validation is executed by the BU to adhere to project timelines

+ Tracks and monitors overall data conversion progress and manages issue resolution

+ Tracks risks, developing mitigation plans, and escalate as appropriate

+ Partners with DBT on delivery of Data definitions and aligns with Instance Data conversion team

+ Accountable for alignment between the needs of the BU Data Teams and the instance data conversion team

+ Ensure data conversion scope is aligned with the BU data team and Instance data conversion team

+ In partnership with the BU, set targets and goals on estimates and work effort, ensure and provides that information to the Data Conversion Team for execution _Business partnering and relationship & service management_

+ Actively partners with SAP Deployment Managers, including Instance Data Conversion Advisor to ensure Data Conversion scope is defined & incorporated into project plans

+ Partners with the BU Data Network Lead to ensure understanding of timelines & deliverables

+ Educate the BU data teams regarding the approach, the process and the tools of data cleansing, data field mapping, data reconciliation, data construction and data validation

+ Work with the Instance Data Conversion Advisor to show the BU data teams how to read, interpret and utilize data validation and readiness reports

+ EducateBU teams on how data defects should be documented and partner together to ensure resolution during the load cycle or before the next cycle _Miscellaneous duties as assigned_

+ Ensure alignment and required level of knowledge around data conversion approach, methodology, standards and tools used Global Corporate Guidelines on data standards across all SAP instances (includes MDG)

Qualifications



Required Qualifications:



+ Bachelor’s degree

+ 5 years of business experience

+ 3 Prior data conversion experience

+ 2 Prior SAP experience

+ Knowledge of at least one major SAP business process

+ Experience working on a global team

+ Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence others

+ Demonstrated ability learn quickly and drive for a high degree of execution

+ Demonstrated ability to excel in ambiguous situations

+ Strategic thinking, prioritization, collaboration and problem-solving skills

+ Work experience with Project Management Methodology, Tools and processes

+ Business fluency in English

+ Ability to travel up to 40%, varying by project cycles
