Description

Position Purpose & Summary Business critical role to make the PnL in a fast-paced environment. Develop and execute the gameplan for cocoa powder to maximize margin capture and optimize capacity utilization. Gather and analyze customer and competition information from the Sales organization and from other resources inside and outside Cargill (research, external market data). Support the Sales organization to develop customer solutions and commercial strategies to meet the Budget targets and capture market opportunities. Manage pricing targets and exceptions, through the Strategic Pricing approach. Be the first “go to” person for the Sales teams to ask questions and to escalate Supply Chain issues. Initiate projects to optimize capacity utilization by having a clear insight on recipes and plant capabilities. Independently lead projects of medium complexity level. Back up for the Powder PLM. Coordinate the ad-hoc global inter-company flows of cake and powder to maximize margin and optimize capacity. The role offers opportunity to work in an international, multicultural environment; across functions and in cross-functional teams.

Principal Accountabilities

_40% MARGIN MANAGEMENT_ Develop the powder game plan:

+ Gathering and analyzing customer, competitor and market information from internal and external sources

+ Compile and analyze weekly and monthly reports to support decision making

+ Contribute to game plan discussions for all cocoa products Gameplan execution:

+ Manage communication towards the sales teams (weekly calls, reports)

+ Alignment with sales on availability, deals and pricing exceptions

+ Alignment with pricing analyst to implement pricing strategies in line with gameplan

+ Responsible for internal pricing and contracting (cake and powder flows)

+ Manage day-to-day execution

+ Support Sales as subject matter expert in customer interaction First back up of the Powder PLM. _40% CAPACITY MANAGEMENT_

+ Make and analyze the to-sell reports. Accountable for accuracy.

+ Participant of the EMEA Cocoa Supply Review step. (iBP horizon 4-24 months))

+ Gather and review the monthly production statistics vs demand needs to provide input into the iBP Global Supply Review from powder perspective (4-24 months)

+ Planning and Control process (PAC = 0-3 months planning horizon): provide input to SC Planning in terms of prioritization and approval of exceptions

+ Plant tag: ensure strong connection to production locations, understand operational environment and provide commercial business case for base and non-base capex _20% PROJECT MANAGEMENT_

+ Own medium complex projects including PLM, Sales, SC.

Qualifications



Minimum Required Qualifications



+ University degree, business, economics or related

+ Minimum of 7 years working experience in sales / merchandising.

+ Strategic pricing environment

+ Conceptual and analytical, to grasp the portfolio and capacity interdependencies.

+ Influencing a large Sales organization, but with no direct reporting lines

+ Effective communication of goals and ability to provide clear feedback on execution

+ Curiosity to explore the market place, understand customer needs and competitor capabilities

+ Marketing mindset, understanding sales cycle for premium ingredients

+ Proven IT skills to quickly master JDE reporting tools. Basic access/SQL knowledge. Expert knowledge of Excel.

+ Expert functional knowledge of PowerPoint and skill to make presentations.
