Position Purpose & Summary Purpose of the Associate Global Value Stream Manager Cocoa & Chocolate is to support process optimization between Operations, Supply Chain and PLM organization globally. Providing insight and foresight in the capacity and capability planning and yield space with thorough knowledge of the Six Sigma / Stable Ops principle. Purpose is to monitor, simulate and forecast plant performance with a medium-short term outlook under VSM / CI Supervision.

This includes:



+ capacity capability modelling based on the Stable Ops model and the main drivers for plant capacity.

+ play a role in the development of the Capability and Capacity strategies in close co-operation with the PLM’s and SC.

+ capacity achievement monitoring based on Stable Ops performance reporting,

+ mid-term capacity forecasting and simulation as input for RCCP and SC planning,

+ yield and rework reporting and monitoring.

+ To drive operational excellence and track operations capacity and capability across all plant segments. Critical element of the role is the reporting of results and findings to key stakeholders. Systems and data management are to be developed and later optimized to obtain relevant and accurate reports & analyses from the plants.

Principal Accountabilities

_25%_ GLOBAL CAPACITY CAPABILITY MODELLING

+ Co-leads with the Global VSM CCC the development and maintenance of tools/systems and relationships that supports accurate capacity performance monitoring. Which is used for the Site Capability and SR meeting, as part of the IBP cycle.

+ Co-leads with the Global VSM CCC the development and maintenance of moderately complex optimization and scenario management models to help analyze capacity, capacity utilization and demand forecasts with medium term planning horizon. Which is used in the RCCP meeting as preparation for the SR meeting.

+ Uses thorough knowledge of Stable Ops practices and procedures to assess operations capacity plans and budgets with a maximum planning horizon of 24 months. _25%_ PRODUCTION CAPACITY MONITORING EFFECTIVENESS

+ Determines and monitors the capacity of both the chocolate liquid and the chocolate solid capacities, compound and fillings capacities of our chocolate/C&F facilities based on the three or four main capacity drives of each facility in relation to the Stable Ops Q3 performances and Planning Factor. Initiates, with oversight from his manager, changes to the capacity capabilities because of continuous improving stable performance when appropriate.

+ Determines and monitors the capacity of both the liquor grind and the pressing powder milling capacities, butter capacities and packing capacities of our cocoa facilities based on the three or four main capacity drives of each facility in relation to the Stable Ops Q3 performances and Planning Factor. Initiates, with oversight from his manager, changes to the capacity capabilities as a result of continuous improving stable performance when appropriate.

+ Participates in cross-functional teams to evaluate and recommend on Stable Ops improvement projects and priorities based on comparing and benchmarking against best practice performance.

+ Contributes to reporting results to Operations teams the performance assessments linked to internal target setting.

+ Collaborates with PLM’s to provide insight in any issues that impacted capacity utilization.

+ Collaborates with Finance to provide insight in the performance assessments in relation to budget.

+ Collaborates with Supply Chain to provide insight in performance assessment, capacity utilization in relation with the forecast and contracts. _25%_ GLOBAL PRODUCTION CAPACITY FORECASTING

+ Contributes to the discussions with internal stakeholders (e.g. PLM’s, Plant Operations, Plant Accounting, Supply Chain) the RCCP projections. This includes all aspects regarding capacity such as projected portfolio, process decisions, PO stops, and project stops, etc.

+ Supports Plant Operations, Plant Accounting and PLM’s in demands overview to define the profile the fulfill the needs of the yearly budget plans/build. With oversight of Global Value Stream Manager, coordinates and validates RCCP, SR, forecasts with all Cocoa and Chocolate Plant Managers. Interprets results and performances and works with stakeholders to explain and refine it. Activities include: - Resolves forecast-related issues and unclarities - Provides feedback from RCCP and SR on processing conditions - Maintains and updates forecast data - Incorporates and validates impact of CI projects on RCCP and SR projections.

+ Tracks and analyzes KPIs (key performance indicators) for multiple sites.

+ With oversight of Global Value Stream Manager evaluation of new activities develop potential solutions through communications with PLM’s, Plant Operations, Plant Accounting, Supply Chain and identify the optimal solution. _25%_ YIELD AND REWORK MEASUREMENT, MONITORING AND REPORTING

+ Co-leads with the Global VSM CCC the development and maintenance of tools/systems and relationships that supports accurate yield and rework performance reporting Cocoa and Chocolate yields based on the total inclusive yield measurement model.

+ Discusses with internal stakeholders (e.g. Plant Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Plant Capability management) the performance results. This includes all aspects regarding yield such as projected portfolio, process decisions on fat content, recipe fat content changes in BOM-Ops and Price-BOM’s, etc. Tracks and analyzes KPIs (key performance indicators) on yield for multiple sites.

Qualifications



+ Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical or Food engineering, Business or Financial Administration or similar experience and thinking level,

+ Minimal 5 years’ experience in process and/or food manufacturing environment.

+ Proven experience with six sigma principles at certified Green Belt level, preferably certified Black Belt level.

+ Proven ability to communicate to multi-functional peers and managers

+ Proven influencing ability to: - ensuring proper and timely and accurate reporting, - building commitment for revised views on capacity capabilities.

+ Proven ability to leverage Cargill's technical subject matter experts enabling optimization of models and reporting.

+ Experience in and affinity with a complex operational network planning environment

+ Demonstrated ability to develop complex capacity models. (Super-skilled in Excel /Minitab)

+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with people at remote sites to execute capacity monitoring principles.

+ Demonstrated ability to understand CI tools and principles,
