Position Purpose & Summary: The Technical Service Specialists (TSS) serves as a point of contact for customers with regards to technical matters relating to products, processes, specification, and certifications. The TSS will work with the Account Managers and/or Sales Managers to deliver our value proposition to target customers across APAC countries. At the same time, the TSS is responsible for building strong customer relationships, providing insights into technical issues to customers, and working closely with the Sales or Account Manager to grow the market.

Principal Accountabilities:

40% - Technology and Services Deployment:

+ Advise and support customers in application projects for Cocoa products.

+ Manage technology and service programs includingoptimisingservice offering.

+ Organiseseminars, trainings, and presentations for customers on cocoa processing, applications, and new product development.

+ Best practice sharing within the commercial teams to ensure all relevant team members have the necessary knowledge to successfully demonstrate our digital nutrition services.

+ Develop and create of cocoa products. 30% - Customer Relationship & Business Development:

+ Build strong relationships with customers and provide insights & technical support via visits to the customers.

+ Documents details of customer requests for review and analysis.

+ Work closely with the commercial team to assess customer needs and identify business opportunity. 30% - Services Management:

+ Assist in the planning and execution of innovation-based growth in line with Business Unit direction.

+ Be responsible for converting customers’ requirements and projects into commercial sales.

+ Lead projects with supervision from managers or senior team members

+ Provides project follow-up to customers.

+ Support customers in product development.

+ Initiate new product developments based on customers’ requirements


Required Education & Experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in preferably Food Technology or Food Sciences.

+ Minimum 5 years of working experience in the food industry.

+ Minimum 3-5 years of working experience, dealing directly with customers.

+ Must be able to converse, read and write well in English. Preferred Skills & Experience:

+ 5 years working experience working in the food industry, preferably in Cocoa.

+ Alternative experiences may include working in the oil & fats, dairy, sweeteners, confectionary and drinks industries
