To ensure through planned maintenance, vigilant inspections and expeditious repairs, the smooth uninterrupted and safe operation of the production plant in order to minimize production downtime.

Principal Accountabilities:



+ Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment or processes in order to facilitate production

+ Maintain, repair and overhaul plant production equipment, building and grounds

+ Provide quick response to trouble calls by shift supervisors and or operators/technicians

+ Assist Operating Engineers in maintenance of plant utilities

+ Perform Weekly Preventive Maintenance Walkthroughs / Inspections / and Repairs on production equipment as necessary

Additional Responsibilities:



+ Support projects include working on a project team in the design, installation and commissioning

+ Maintain complete & accurate records of shift logs, maintenance inspections and meter readings

+ Ensure smooth, efficient communication to the next team at shift changes

+ Actively finding new and improved ways of completing tasks

+ Participate collaboratively in process improvement teams as required

+ Any other duties as assigned

+ Rotating work schedule every two weeks and weekends - Rotating shifts from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm / from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm / from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. Total 40 hours Monday to Friday This Full Time position is located in Surrey, BC; however please expect receiving calls from a 204 area code in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided.







Qualifications
Requirements:

+ Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

+ Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old

+ Red Seal Millwright Certificate

+ Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces

+ Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

+ Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold

+ Ability to work in elevated areas

+ Must be able to operate machinery

+ Must be able to operate heavy equipment

+ Must be able to read/write English

+ High School diploma or equivalent

+ Ability to work overtime

+ Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

+ At least 2 years of experience in production related work

+ Must be able to perform maintenance trades including rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Preferred:



+ Forklift certified

+ Basic computer skills

+ Able to perform maintenance trades including machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication

+ Previous experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning)
