Job location: Warsaw, Poland This role leadsthe Customer Service and Execution process within Poland and provides bothdirection and coordinates all Supply Chain activities across Poland for thefull Product Portfolio of Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain (CASC). As such,the role leads a medium size team, advises and makes decisions within Supply Chainwith a short-term as well as medium- to long-term outlook. The Supply ChainLead ensures the cost effectiveness of the Polish Supply Chain from activecoordination and planning of processes, technology (including SAP) and peoplemanagement activities.
Supply Chain Operations (40%)
+ Oversees and provides active management,leadership and integration of multiple processes in the Cargill supply chainsuch as customer service, supply chain planning, strategic and transportation& logistics (i.e. order, plan, source, make and deliver).
+ Manages supply chain activities across dayto day processes to ensure that on time deliveries are made within budget to 95to 99% on time deliveries to customers. Root causes failures and reportscorrective actions monthly.
+ Reports supply chain metrics monthly toensure compliance to SAP processes, customer service, planning and cost targets.
+ Ensures that all people in the departmentare trained and understand their responsibilities in relation to SAP and othersystems.
+ Plans across all end to end supply chainactivities to deliver outstanding customer service at lowest cost
+ Manages and regularly contributes to thedevelopment of projects and process improvements in the supply chainorganization to drive continuous improvement to excellence standards.
+ Administers and approves measures toimprove customer reliability and negotiates service level agreements withcustomers to include lead times, as well as action plans to improve on customerservice for a medium-size team.
+ Using an extensive understanding of supplychain practices and procedures, develops and reinforces processes, and ensuresbest practices are shared. Examples include best practice identification withinthe BU, across BU’s and externally, documentation in playbook and story boards,creation of process workflow diagrams and RASCI schemes, and communicating bestpractices through trainings, workshops and documentation.
+ Leads and manages execution of centrallygoverned operational business processes, such as Customer Service, Planning /Scheduling, Transport & Logistics IBP / S&OP (sales and operationsplanning),
+ Manages processes to ensure all customerrequirements are identified, communicated and documented. Maintainsrelationships with plant operations to ensure adequate inventory is available,and customer requirements are within operational capabilities.
+ Provides hands on leadership and guidanceto the development of the delivery / execution process to meet customer demand.Monitors coordination of supply between plants and warehouses across a limitedsubset of the organization. Process Development, Planning &Execution (20%)
+ Leads and contributes to effective andefficient customer service and execution of contracts and day to dayprioritization of tasks including allocation planning for this and next week toprocesses governed centrally
+ Applies an extensive understanding ofsupply chain practices and procedures to develop and implement the medium-longterm IBP / S&OP demand/capacity outlook based on various input sources(e.g. sales orders, forecast, contract position, inventory available, anddirect input from sales/demand teams).
+ Approves demand/capacity plan for a medium-size team, and communicates with thesales organization, plant operations, and/or the supply chain leadership team.
+ Takes ownership for Continuous Improvementinitiatives and analysis of performance Customer & Client interaction (20%)
+ Takes charge of customer service andpersonally establishes excellent relationships with customers in a spirit oftrust and cooperation
+ Provides meaningful insights to RegionalCommercial Lead on how to optimize the costs to serve customers and providesmonthly reports
+ Sits on local management team as supplychain “go to” person and sponsors and manages the development of innovative andproven supply chain solutions through applying a specialized understanding ofsupply chain practices and procedures.
+ Reports Cargill performance to customers
+ Facilitates and contributes tocross-functional product line teams in follow-up, investigation, anddocumentation of internal and external non-conformances, root causes andcorrective actions. Data Management, Reporting &Analysis (10%)
+ Evaluates supply and demand calculationsfor a medium-size team and evaluates complex analyses of the data.
+ Provides direction to team on themanagement of supply chain systems and tools used within their area.
+ Utilizes demand, production and salesreports created by members of the team to assess efficiency and costs relatedto the supply chain.
+ Reviews and monitors score card andrelated KPIs monthly. Ensures team is establishing and maintaining key supplychain metrics People, Talent & Budgetmanagement (10%)
+ Accountable for performance management,talent development, succession planning and engagement directly and throughsubordinate supervisors.
+ Manages and provides coaching and/ortraining to team, including coaching Cargill core values, personal safety,environmental stewardship and community involvement.
+ Provides oversight to subordinatesupervisors in the selection of staff and other employees; determines resourceneed, plans for future workforce needs, and approves selection decisions.
+ Responsible for budgeting duties withinarea of scope (forecasting, reporting P&L, etc.).
+ Masters’Degree with focus on Economics, Supply Chain or Logistic Management.
+ Minimum10 years’ experience in Logistics & Supply Chain
+ Minimum5 years’ experience in People Management
+ Fluentin English and Polish
