Position Purpose & Summary This position is responsible fordeveloping and coding software used in both assembly and dis-assembly meatmanufacturing. This role takes directionfrom their Supervisor and Sr. Architects to develop software and supportexisting software.

Principal Accountabilities

70% Develop n-tier and client/serverapplications using expertise principally in VB.NET, C#.NET. & Visual Basic6 10% Making small functional enhancements tocurrent applications as needed for the business. 10% Provide application support / incidentmanagement of issues for a wide variety of internally developed applications.Which includes: participating in a 24x7 on call rotation, working with thefacility personnel to resolve issues, involving subject matter experts whenneeded to solve issues, and helping end users of applications with applicationtraining issues. 5% Working with others in the developmentand support departments to learn systems, infrastructure environment, codingtechniques, and other technical subjects. 5% Establish relationships with businesspartners and development team members to develop a good understanding of thebusiness areas and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications



Minimum Required Qualifications



+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science orI/T related program, OR a minimum of a high school diploma/GED and at least 5years demonstrated experience in systems development and coding

+ Proficient in applying Object Orienteddesigns to develop code

+ Proficient in programming languageslike C#.NET

+ Has a comprehensive knowledge ofdatabases and SQL, with focus being on Oracle databases.

+ Can do impact analysis resulting from adatabase change.

+ Can understand, support, and createstored code (i.e. procedures, triggers).

+ Able to trouble shoot problems withconnectivity and use of applications

+ Strong verbal and written communicationskills.

+ Ability to work successfully bothindependently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications



+ Experience managing projects.

+ Experience in the meat industry

+ Experience as architect on small tomedium projects

+ Familiarity with Service OrientedArchitecture concepts to develop code

+ Can apply complex design patterns tocode in all languages required

+ Has ability to develop at an applicationlevel

+ Can identify design flaws and suggestcorrective actions

+ Proficient with Object Oriented Designconcepts

+ Proficient with Service OrientedArchitecture design concepts

+ Can design processes basis businessrequirements from scratch

+ Can create designs for softwarerequirements basis process requirements from scratch

Other relevantinformation to the position

- Develop technical skills, debugging andcoding in multiple languages - Experience working with data bases and how theyare designed - Understanding how to make applications workacross the various infrastructure layers - Gain business knowledge working with variousmeat BU's - Learn about other business applications byhelping to solve problems with interfaces - Gain leadership skills by making developmentrecommendations to reduce support issues and coaching others.
