TheFactory Manager is a key member of the Wolverhampton site leadership team. Thesite is a state of the art dedicated production facility, producing value addedpoultry products This position provides an exciting opportunity to lead anddirect the site operations in compliance with legal, customer and Cargillstandards, ensuring the site operations consistently deliver against thestrategic goals of the business. The site is going through expansion and growthand the position holder will drive forward the continuous improvement culture andgrowth agenda for the business.


+ To lead and ensurethe site complies with Cargill and legal environmental, health and safety (EHS)standards, championing a culture of ‘zero’ injuries, minimising our impact onthe environment and ensuring all employees are educated and trained in thefundamentals of EHS

+ Provide overalloversite of EHS incident data identify risks and to proactively recommend riskmitigation strategies

+ Lead strategicinitiatives representing the business with regulatory authorities

+ Accountable for theexecution and delivery of production commitment for the site (33,000 tonnes offinished product per year) with a value of £100 million per annum

+ Responsible for themanufacturing operational key results including but not limited to; safety,yield, consumables, efficiency/ waste reduction, cost and take appropriateaction to stay on track with budgets and key defined metrics

+ Enforces operationalpractices that drive performance and continually review KPI’s

+ responsible for thesite budget (c. £15 million per annum) and controlling operating expenses

+ Accountable foroverseeing base and non-base CAPEX investment projects for the site that alignto business growth plans

+ Provide leadershipand in conjunction with Human Resources ensure the site can reach medium andlong term goals through an engaged, highly motivated, skilled and diverseworkforce

+ Responsible fordeveloping a strong leadership pipeline

+ Lead and develop theplants operational/ reliability/ safety training programmes and embed theseacross the site

+ Responsible forworkforce administration policies, including but not limited to; staffing,training, evaluation, coaching, disciplinary action

+ To focus oncontinuous improvement (CI) at all times, developing and utilising CI tools andmethods


+ A Degree levelqualification in a Science or Engineering discipline

+ Established track recordin sustained continuous improvement and change management

+ Formal certification inLean Six Sigma is advantageous but not essential

+ Proven experience leadinglarge teams in a complex manufacturing environment at a senior level (ProductionManager, Factory Manager)

+ Excellent leadershipskills, able to communicate clear objectives, provide feedback, implementimprovements for team and individuals performance

+ Demonstrated changemanagement skills, adaptable to changing business needs, introducing new waysof thinking and behaviors and getting buy in to drive sustained growth andchange

+ Comfortable to manageambiguity and complexity

+ Customer focused andresults orientated

+ Pragmatic approach toproblem solving and able to execute solutions in a timely manner
