Position Purpose & Summary To work as part of the Maintenance team. You will maintain reliable operation of the process plant. A Time Served Tradesman you will be required to perform multi-skilled Maintenance tasks, and be trained further as required, across the full range of plant & equipment. The work will involve a range of Reactive, Preventative and Predictive Maintenance as required. You will propose improvements in maintenance Job Plans & Procedures in keeping with known standards of quality, safety and hygiene for reliable and consistent operation. Trouble shooting and problem analysis are essential skills. You will work closely with production areas so you will need to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively to ensure that daily goals are achieved.

Principal Accountabilities

Be multi-skilled in both Electrical & Instrument and Mechanical maintenance and be committed to continuous development as necessary. Undertake training to multi-skill and in Predictive Maintenance Tasks. Ensure troubleshooting and maintenance of plant and systems is carried out Ensure compliance with all systems and procedures by self and others Propose improvements and help develop new maintenance Job Plans & procedures Use a CMMS (Maximo) and PC reporting to assist maintenance recording.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications & Experience

+ Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture

+ Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally

+ Fully completed a recognized trade certification in either electrical/instrument/mechanical engineering and have multi-skilling experience

+ BTEC HNC or equivalent in engineering discipline

+ Trade Engineering / Maintenance Experience from a manufacturing processing plant. Preferred Qualifications & Experience

+ Preferably from a sound Electrical & Instrument background with cross-skill experience of mechanical maintenance services.

+ Understanding of predictive maintenance techniques, vibration analysis, thermography and ultrasound is a advantage, but training will be provided

+ Understanding of Food Safety, e.g HACCP, GMP etc.
