Statement on IBAMA

The claims made regarding the fines in 2018 were without merit, as Cargill does not have any commercial relationship with the properties in question nor the alleged non-compliant transactions. We submitted a comprehensive defense to the regulatory agency IBAMA, with detailed explanations demonstrating that Cargill did not purchase deforested soybeans. We have not paid any fines, and are awaiting the agency’s decision.
