With approximately 1,100 employees, Wyalusing has been home to Cargill Beef since 2001 (it formerly was the Taylor Packing Company, established in 1941). The plant is one of nine Cargill Beef plants and processes about 1,500 head of cattle per day. Cargill Wyalusing operates three shifts a day, with first shift for production and Case Ready/grinding, second shift for Case Ready/grinding and sanitation and third shift for sanitation.
