Position Purpose & Summary This position is required to run the chemical plant and to meet various regulatory requirements such as safety, FSQR schedule-M KSPCB norms, factories act etc to maintain the cost of production under control, to ensure production target is met and deliveries are under control, various continues improvements cultures are developed in the team and projects are completed as per the timelines.

Principal Accountabilities

Production planning and execution * Analysis of monthly product requirements visa-vis the plant capacity and material availability in coordination with GM -MFG * Communicating the Exports department for the tentative delivery dates for the requirements * Coordinating with the stores and purchase dept for procurement of required RM/PM in time * Coordinating with the Production executives for effective implementation of the scheduled production activities * Coordinating with the maintenance dept for activities related to the preventive and breakdowns of critical equipments, such that the planned production schedule is not disturbed * Coordinating with the Job workers for the production activities planned in their facilities – for timely movements of materials both inward and outward * Ensuring that all the processes are executed as per the standard SOP and quality of the product meets the required specifications i.e., zero non-conformances in the activities * Review of production planning on a daily basis to ensure that the commitments are met Reports & Documentation * Ensure that all the activities pertaining to production are recorded in the respective records as per the SOPs, regulatory requirements * Ensure that monthly water cess related details are sent to Environment-engineer with in first 2 days of every month * Ensure that daily production details, product variance report is sent to GM – Manufacturing on a daily basis * Ensure that monthly incentive data is sent to GM – Manufacturing with in first 2 days of every month * Ensure that the monthly RM/PM requirements plan data is communicated to purchase department for better execution of production activities * Ensure that all records related to the customs are updated with due signatures of authorities Projects andContinual improvements * Identify the opportunities for improvements in the plant and intiate the continual improvement plan. Encourage team to identify opportunities and white and yellow belt programmes to be successful * Daily and weekly meetings are conducted as per the schedules and actions are intiated to find rootcause and resolve the issues * Capex Budgets needs to be intiated based on the FSQR/Legal/capcity enhancement/safety requirements * Capex proposal needs to be prepared and Project needs to be executed as per the time line Regulatory Requirements * Should be aware of all Regulatory requirements of Schedule-M /KSPCB/DCK/Karnataka Factories Act any other regulatory requirements to RUN the Factory operations smoothely Team Management * Guiding the team on various technical aspects such as OEE, preventive maintainance and various performance monitoring parameters * Training on various safety related topics as per Cargill safety intiation * Coordinating with HR for various behavioural trainings as per the Training matrix * Refresher trainings on safety, 5S, rootcause analysis, good documentation practices etc * Periodical review of the team to ensure Cargill leadership expectations are met bycoaching

Qualifications



Required Qualifications

* BE-Mech/ M Pharm/ BE-Chemical * 10 years of experience * Self motivated, result oriented and energetic with good chemical process knowledge. * knowledge of Handling ETP

Preferred Qualifications

* Handled API Plant[bulk drug plants] as Plant manager
