Position Purpose & Summary Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain North America (CASC NA) / Global Edible Oil Solutions North America (GEOS NA)) processing is the Group Business segment within Cargill that is dedicated to creating value for customers, specifically oilseed processing, refining and packaging in North America. This Group leads the industry in providing innovative solutions and product handling in the areas of oilseed processing, biodiesel processing, oil refining and packaging. Reporting to the CASC NA/GOES NA Processing Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Leader, you will be responsible to partner with the business and facility teams to provide safety leadership, strategic direction, and execution to the CASC NA/GEOS NA Processing segment. As the Regional EH&S Leader, you will provide expertise and execution in a broad range of EH&S disciplines including risk identification and elimination/reduction (specifically related to Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) exposure), compliance systems and execution, auditing, training, environmental compliance, industrial hygiene monitoring and security. Principal Accountabilities 75% - Manage and deploy Cargill Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) programs, which will include taking a lead role in providing direction and execution in all aspects of the EHS program and system. Specific execution duties to include, but not limited to, conducting and reviewing Serious Injury Fatality (SIF) Plant Focused Inspections; executing and facilitating SIF Risk Assessments; executing LifeSaver Field Checks and Deep Dives; reviewing the Effectiveness of Pre-Job Hazard Analysis; and performing PJHA’s and driving a rigorous Near Miss reporting system with a focus on identifying work activities that have SIF potential. Respond to and investigate all SIF potential incidents in the region, with a focus on ensuring corrective and preventive actions are completed in a timely manner to prevent recurrence; complete Safety Alerts with SIF and Credible Fatality Potential for broader circulation across CASC NA/GEOS NA. Complete project technical reviews and ensure Cargill contractor safety systems are effective. Environmental activities will include, but not limited to, responding to air, water and noise complaints, coordinating the environmental component of all acquisitions and divestitures, managing environmental permits, as well as auditing and deploying environmental policies on aspects and impacts relating to the locations within the Region. Ensure systems within the region are in place to facilitate compliance with regulatory and Cargill requirements. 20% - Manage and verify that all Cargill Corporate and CASC NA/GEOS NA Group Business EH&S Training programs such as Cargill’s 12 LifeSavers, Human Organizational Performance (HOP), TDG/DOT and WHMIS/HMIS are deployed and in compliance to policy expectations for Operational and Commercial purposes. Explore and support decision making for training resources, and to support CASC NA Training/Technology Team to deploy new or revised training programs with a focus on high hazard activity. 5% - Support the Region with workers compensation claims management including, but not limited to, claims reporting for Country/Province or State, claims oversight, WCB vendors, and return to work programs. Where incidents occur or if an employee is injured or assigned restrictions, the EHS Regional Leader will work directly with the CASC NA medical/injury leader.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications * Post-secondary education in Engineering, Science or Safety field and/or 5 or more years’ experience in an operations, health and safety, or environmental role * Must have a passion for safety leadership and execution * Aptitude for establishing and executing priority activities * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong leadership, teamwork, and decision-making capabilities * Ability to quickly gather and analyze facts, align stakeholders and customize solutions to the specific location or risk * Ability to coach and influence various stakeholders across the organization and region * Proficiency working with various business related and EH&S computer and system applications i.e. Enablon, Power BI, RCI * Must be willing to travel regionally, 40-50% of the time Preferred Qualifications * CSP (Certified Safety Professional) Certification is preferred, or willing to complete within 3 years of accepting position * EHS Auditing experience * Trades or construction experience Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
