Project Controls Lead

The position is based in Orleans. No possibility of remote work.

Principal Accountabilities:
Cost control

+ Set up integrated control accounts and configure the software and tools

+ Track the expenditures using Cargill preferred software (Cleopatra)

+ Contribute to final budget development

+ Work with Accounting dept. to approve contractor submittals and validate payments

+ Preparecostreports,Cash flow reports

Schedule Management

+ Develop schedules

+ Track the work progress against schedule, and manage the scheduling tool (MS Project)

+ Generate progress reports

+ Createprospective mobilizationplans for workforce needs

+ Schedule activitiesof maintenance/reliability employees and 3rd party contractors

+ Participate in site planning meetings

Proactive Control

+ Measure progress for each Control Account and Work Package by: 1) personally performing field assessments 2) interacting with assigned Quantity Surveyor

+ Report labor hours, material quantities, progress from contractors and sub’s

+ Assess real-time deviations in cost, schedule, and resource, initiate corrective actions

+ Schedule forecasts based on trends

+ Monitor and track changes

+ Drive claims or disputes with contractors (contract management)


+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering

+ Knowledge of commercial cost management software

+ 2 y. experience in controlling budgets, schedules, and other control systems

+ Min. 5 years’ experience in construction related field (Project Delivery Process for Build)

+ Knowledge of MS Project or


scheduling software

+ Ability to travel up to 30-40% (not during first 3 years)

+ Ability to anticipate and mediate conflict

+ French and English Language
