Position Purpose & Summary: The Strategic Marketing Leader is accountable to work to set the strategy for the Diamond V Europe, Middle East, Africa and India regions. He /she is responsible for the strategy in terms of choices for customer segments to focus in our markets (where to play, how to win), channel strategy, customer and consumer insights in the region and marketing and differentiation from competitors. The incumbent is responsible for building the strategic marketing capability in the business, driving customer engagement and consumers to our brand and portfolio alike. The Strategic marketing leader will work closely with the Cargill Health Technologies Strategic Marketing and Portfolio team by participating in the innovation discussions, driving execution of new product launches in EMEA and ensuring consistent positioning and messaging for our technologies. This position will be accountable for:

+ Business results and growth – including marketshare, gross margin, species and customer channels

+ Building strategic marketing capabilities in the business - develop the Diamond V EMEA strategic marketing plan and capabilities that drive growth. This includes a regional business strategy, customer segmentation, customer insights, product positioning and competitive intelligence and the execution of tactical marketing (i.e. promotions) across the business that translates into financial results.

+ Customer focus – work closely with the sales team to develop relevant channel strategies to serve and grow with our customers, execute on adopting global product portfolio and drive foot traffic with the incorporation of consumer and marketplace trends which will be measured by marketshare growth.

Principal Accountabilities:

+ 60% Marketing leadership within Diamond V EMEA including the above accountabilities, driving execution associated with marketing plans, EMEA business strategy, channel and customer strategies. This includes driving the adoption of all our portfolio in EMEA while driving cross functional team alignment and customer interactions to keep our customer at the core of our efforts. Provide tactical marketing leadership to the business to satisfy customers and grow profitability in the customer segments we choose to serve (including consumer insights, customer marketing and competitive differentiation).

+ 20% Build strategic marketing capability and team in EMEA

+ 20% Leadership, input and influence on our EMEA business as demonstrated by contributions to the EMEA Management Team.


Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural, marketing or related business discipline

+ 10 years of demonstrated expertise in marketing or sales with a track record of being able to grow business and engage a team.

+ 5 years of leadership experience

+ Demonstrated ability to create and manage complex development projects to achieve business success.

+ Demonstrated ability to network and influence cross functionally while having a presence with customers backed by agility and courage.

+ Demonstrated ability to develop and coach others while leading an engaged team.

+ Demonstrated ability to manage financial elements of the business, including budgets, product margins, return on investment and profitability analysis.

+ Strong communications skills both verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience and passion in feed additives or related agriculture industry
