Position Purpose & Summary This position is a part of the Management Information and Decision Support (MIDS) domain, with specific focus on the management information competencies of data management and business data engineering across Cargill’s enterprises, groups, and businesses using SAP. This role, in coordination with the Global MI team, will develop and deploy an overall MI strategy in the region and will ensure regional needs (overall and by business group) are addressed. The MIDS domain is a new and developing domain, with the primary purpose is to reduce time to insights. MIDS does this by investing in the core capabilities of data management, data engineering, and decision support to ensure we are bringing timely, accurate, and actionable insight to our FP&A and business partners. In the current state, the need for centralized management of data is essential in ensuring we have controlled and certified data available. This role will collaborate with and influence the global Cargill data strategy, global finance platform, Enterprise and Group data and analytics strategies, business FP&A leads, business process organizations, and accounting and finance leaders. This includes developing and deploying the strategy and plan to create regional enterprise-wide teams with primary focus on meeting the commercial needs through sound system utilization and management. This is a key role to ensure well controlled and properly executed data set up and report design to enable business decisions. This role will remain business-focused and process-aligned and will drive continuous improvements across the team.
_Implement and lead MI strategy to support the EMEA business groups_
+ Deploy the strategy, plan, and processes to effectively manage data, data engineering, and financial analytics across the region
+ Develop strong decision support partnership with key DS leads and other finance domains (i.e. FPA, A&R)
+ Influence Cargill/EMEA global data strategy and global group data strategy _Deliver sustainable, effective, and efficient financial analytical solutions_
+ Standardize data across teams in the region to enable consistency and quality control of key business data
+ Standardize reporting across business to meet reporting needs in A&F, FP&A, and within businesses
+ Partner globally and cross-enterprise to leverage scale, expertise, and best practices
+ Achieve and continuously improve span of control and fragmentation of work targets
+ Develop/Implement a strategy to increase the reuse of financial solutions
+ Move up the curve from reporting to dashboards (self-service) to streamlined data with advanced analytic tools _Data management_
+ Partner with Global IT (GIT), global data owners, and the evolving data strategies to make master data a trusted strategic asset driving consistency, quality, timeliness and efficiency with focus on core ERP, Global Finance Platform (GFP), and related BI technologies (i.e. Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI).
+ Execute the master data rules provided by function, process and business data owners. Primary support is centered around ERP (SAP) and other technologies that require consistency in data (as it relates to SAP ERPs).
+ Enable high quality master data for transaction process and Decision Support by:
+ Maintaining a deep technical understanding of core identified source systems
+ Maintaining a deep understanding of the process of how master data is gathered across the business
+ Maintaining a deep understanding of how master data develops and the flow of Master Data between systems (Lead to Prospect to Customer). _Continuous Improvement_
+ Support a culture of intellectual curiosity and continuous leaning to meet self and team individual development goals
+ Support the transition of the organization to the end state organization
+ Keep updated to improvements
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data, MIS, or related field
+ Minimum 8 years of accounting/finance, and/or data management experience using SAP
+ Advanced Excel and data analytics including demonstrated ability for use of BI tools
+ English Proficiency
+ Proven ability to develop partnerships and effectively influence change across a broad stakeholder network
+ Strong understanding of business, business processes, and various systems to enable business decisions.
+ Continuous learner
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Strong problem solving and analytical skills
+ Demonstrated flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Demonstrated ability to understand and use technology to improve process and control
+ Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
+ Masters Degree in MIS, Business or related field
+ Working knowledge of MS office, Tableau/Power BI, Alteryx and other interrogation/visualization tools
+ Experience with multiple businesses and/or international business experience
+ Experience in commodity trading business
+ Experience managing technical data and BI, and/or decision support partner teams
+ Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset, process optimization, and intellectual curiosity.
+ Ability to communicate and use visualization tools (e.g. dashboards) to tell the story
