Position Purpose & Summary: Cargill Animal Nutrition (CAN) seeks to become the trusted advisor to its customers through a practical and applied approach to delivering industry leading nutrition solutions. Through Cargill’s Premix and Nutrition (CPN) business, we bring technical solutions and innovative product concepts to our customers. We aspire to be our customers’ trusted advisor when evaluating decisions to optimize their financial performance. The Customer Service organisation is responsible for providing an exceptional level of customer support, ensuring professional, accurate, and timely processing of customer-facing transactions. This role oversees a subset of day-to-day customer service activities for CPN Asian Market and CPN Thailand businesses. You will advise and make decisions on all major customer service activities for such as customer service operations, process development, planning & execution, customer & client interaction / business partnership, systems / data management & reporting, and people & talent management. The role is also responsible to manage internal customer-related matters, including offering direct support of the Key Account Management (KAM) program. Shift work is not required for this role. Ability to start in early to Mid-May 2020 and commit for 6 months will be critical.
75% - Customer Service and Operations:
+ Supply chain business partner to sales & marketing in understanding the customer background and their needs and buying behavior and customer forecast to optimise the plan.
+ Ability to independently manage different customers’ needs by knowing the customer challenges and opportunity and how to deliver a differentiated service catered to different customer segment.
+ Builds and maintains relationships with plant operations, finance, procurement / strategic sourcing, transportation & logistics and sales departments to fulfill moderately complex orders, resolve any scheduling challenges.
+ Execute a subset of customer service activities that includes:
+ Updates and maintains customer, vendor and product information in system.
+ Sales and order processing, scheduling, amendments and cancellations.
+ Liaise with banker on Letter of Credit [LC] documentation for certain country and ensure shipment plan within LC terms and conditions and follow up on LC amendments.
+ Issues involving invoices or payments.
+ PO settlements for 3rd party activities, purchased products, supplies and packaging
+ Creation of credit/debit notes for customers / clients.
+ Manage customer complaints and follow-up, coordinate internally on the complaint status and constantly update customer.
+ Provide weekly / monthly report, for example, open order status, statement of account receivable, etc. 25% - Logistics Management (Compliance & Process):
+ Manage the inbound or outbound movement of raw material and / or finished product from origin to destination with limited supervision and execute logistics activities.
+ Creates documentation and ensure documents meet government requirements and Cargill accounting standards.
+ Prepares necessary domestic or export documents, certificates, invoices and declaration of shipments for inter-country or customs authorities and customers.
Required Education & Experience:
+ Degree holder in Economics / Business Administration or Degree in Shipping or Logistics management.
+ 3 to 5 years of business experience, preferably in customer relation or supply chain.
+ Customer oriented, highly organised and attentive to details.
+ Professional communication skills in English.
+ Strong ERP system/platform knowledge in SAP.
+ Self-starter and ability to work on own initiative and in team.
+ Ability to work cross-functionally to drive for result.
+ Innovative and pro-active.
+ Any other Asian language will be an added advantage.
