Cargill Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (CSSP) is a global organization that strives to strategically source and leverage Cargill’s indirect spend; this indirect spend spans Plant Materials and Services (MRO, Capital, Plant Services, etc.); Corporate Material and Services (travel, IT, HR, etc.); Chemicals, Energy; Packaging; and Ingredients. The CSSP team is responsible for managing over 9 billion in spend. The Protein & Salt Business Engagement Leader is a critical leadership role that sits within CSSP and works on behalf of the business groups that they are assigned. This role’s core accountability is driving aligned business and functional strategies as well as synchronizing priorities on a short, medium and long term basis. The successful candidate will have a strong orientation toward external market insight, have a proven track record of being able to drive business opportunities and improvements, and have demonstrated the ability to drive innovation on behalf of the organization. The Protein & Salt Business Engagement Leader is accountable for building, maintaining and enhancing the brand of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement; engaging with business stakeholders to influence their strategies and fully understand their requirements; serve as a key stakeholder in category strategy development, implementation and execution of strategies at the business level; facilitate buy in with the business at various levels to fully realize the benefits of the strategies that are implemented. This positions reports to the Strategy & Business Engagement Leader. This position can be located in Wichita, KS or Wayzata, MN .70%Stakeholder and Business Engagement Leadership * Build and maintain best in class business engagement models with Cargill’s business groups globally, delivering on aligned short and long term goals for the businesses/functions * Serve as the leader representing CSSP for assigned business group; sits as a leadership member with the assigned business group * Establish joint strategies with the business group/enterprise and the CSSP in an effort to help the businesses be successful. Partner with teams within CSSP globally (category teams, buying teams, Business Services, etc.) to deliver best in class sourcing and procurement services to stakeholders. Influence the broader organization to deliver on strategic priorities * Utilize deep market and industry knowledge to drive the business and functional priorities forward to help create differentiated value for the company * Establish and utilize metrics to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities within CSSP and also with the business groups/functions * Leadership of business reviews, including defining and monitoring established success criteria and KPI’s * Proactively identify synergy opportunities that exist across the business groups and functions to drive increased value for the company * Champion CSSP’s projects within the businesses and remove obstacles to implement the strategies * Ensure CSSP strategies and business objectives are well understood by key business stakeholders 25% Business Engagement Process Excellence * Establish and deploy a consistent business engagement processes within CSSP; lead the education to broader organization on what assigned business strategies are, drive innovation sessions and proactively bring solutions to the business partners * Proactively share and implement best practices and learnings within the CSSP teams globally (category teams, regional business engagement, buying) * Lead Strategic Sourcing and Procurement allocation discussions with Group/Business Leadership and FP&A Leads as needed * Participate in category project planning and approve final prioritization of projects * Serve as a mentor and resource for global organization, proactively help to educate broader CSSP on the business group(s) they are assigned to in order to build business understanding within various teams in CSSP. * Serve as a strong champion for the CSSP and actively drive a culture of recognition and inclusion globally 5% Projects as assigned (examples: M&A Diligence/Integration; ACI leadership)

* Bachelor’s Degree (4 year degree) or similar in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field * 10 year’s business experience, with 5 years of relevant experience to the position. * Ability to understand core business goals and establish processes or programs to help the function move the needle forward. * Proven track record of establishing trust & credibility with business leaders & other functional stakeholders * Demonstrated ability to achieve significant results through influencing others * Strong financial, mathematical, modeling and analytical skills. * Ability to effectively communicate analytical findings/recommendations/models, both verbally and in written form to senior management in a professional, concise, and direct manner. * Ability to research and identify problems, develop proposals, conduct analysis independently and in collaborative with others. * Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and drive mutually beneficial solutions * Ability to connect the dots of external market movements and translate into business insights. * Ability to manage numerous competing priorities and drive for results. * Impeccable interpersonal and influencing skills. * Strong category experience and general supply chain background * Proven Change management and Project management experience
