The primary purpose of this position is to support the shipment execution process for customers and client Business Units. This includes collecting, preparing, maintaining, and sending various required documentation to ensure scheduled shipments are carried out in an efficient manner. The Transportation Support Coordinator also monitors and communicates delivery status of shipments to sales, customers, carriers, and other stakeholders. Under limited supervision, this position resolves general return and diversion issues. The Transportation Assistant also collects and organizes data for company reporting, including metrics and service failures for management analysis.
60% Monitor pickups and deliveries, communicating delays and reasons to sales and carriers. Respond to routine inquiries, manage returns, diversions and order changes, and documentation of late deliveries. 20% Follow carrier issues from time of order entry to delivery. 10% Compile documentation of service incidents to be presented to the management for resolution. 10% Other Duties as Assigned, including collecting data for monthly scorecard _“Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.”_
_“This position is posted internally as well as externally.”_ Qualifications Minimal Requirements * High School Diploma or equivalent * 1 year of Customer Service experience * Competent in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook * Availability to work weekends and holidays when needed
* Strong organizational skills * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective partnering with all internal and external stakeholders * Demonstrated ability to be a team player and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including; sound prioritization, sense of urgency, and multitasking * Demonstrated strong client and customer focus * Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Ability to handle multiple tasks independently
