What are technical materials?
Technical materials are your strong points; you are the expert. Please provide clear and concise descriptions of your product or service offerings. Note that sales brochures can sometimes omit the background detail that we need to complete our database. Think of technical materials as your 2-minute elevator speech. Be sure to include anticipated answers to questions that are typically asked by someone who has as much experience in your area of business as you do.
When will I be contacted?
After all steps are completed, you will receive an e-mail (typically within 30 days) acknowledging that you have completed the registration process and have been added to our diverse supplier database. No further contact will be provided to confirm completed registration.
How can I update my information?
At this time, updated certifications can only be submitted via fax: 952-742-2900. Our system is set up for one-way transmission and no access is granted externally to our system(s). Cargill personnel are denied access to make changes on any supplier’s behalf. Should your information need to be updated, a new online profile must be submitted. It is up to each supplier to provide our Office of Supplier Diversity with a current certification upon expiration annually.
I've registerred... Now what?
Acceptance into our supplier diversity registration does not guarantee business or opportunity. Cargill will use the database to search for potential suppliers on an as needed basis. We encourage all suppliers to learn as much about Cargill and our many businesses as possible. We have both centralized and decentralized purchasing – decisions are made by numerous people.
My registration online portfolio will not go through
Be sure ALL required information has been entered. Only complete online profiles will be accepted. If all required fields have been populated, please use the contact us button to report your problem. Include any error message you receive.
How long will my registration be valid?
A valid certification date is required for our system. Upon expiration of the certification, your information will no longer be accessible by Cargill personnel until a valid certification date is entered. You will have 30 days from expiration to provide us with an updated certification copy, or your supplier information will be removed.
I do not have NMSDC or WBENC certification. Can I still register?
If you do not have a current certification from NMSDC or WBENC, you may still register as a government contractor for government contracts. A signed affidavit is required by a company official, which declares what small business categories your company qualifies for.
