Contributing more than $58 million
to enrich our communities

In FY2009, Cargill contributed more than US $58 million to nonprofit and/or nongovernmental organizations, schools and local community organizations in locations where we have a business presence. 

Our contributions increased 24 percent over the previous fiscal year.

Our giving is aligned with our business objective to help build sustainable communities where we live and work. 

We focus primarily in three areas: 

  • Nutrition and health 
  • Education 
  • Environmental stewardship 

We target programs that provide long-term solutions, engage our employees and leverage their expertise, and provide opportunities to collaborate with others.
