Cargill began operations in Greece in 1954 through an agency agreement with Diamandouros Brothers Ltd. In 1981, when Greece joined the European Common Market, Cargill EPE was formed. However, the agreement with Diamandouros Brothers continues to exist and almost all of our import/export business with Greece is channeled through them.
In November 2011 Cargill completed the acquisition of Provimi, a global animal nutrition company. By building on the existing strengths of the two companies, we are creating a global leader with the ability to offer the broadest array of animal nutrition products, services and capabilities.
Our products include a range of base mixes, premixes, concentrates, additives and specialties for all kinds of farm animals. With Cargill’s global expertise in supply chain and risk management we are able to offer distinctive value to serve our customers’ needs worldwide.
Our offering is developed for our customers’ needs should they be distribution, efficient animal production or low-cost feed manufacturing. Through market leading brands, our on-trend products support the care, growth, and efficiency for various animal species including livestock.
Our activities in Greece include the following:
- Grain and oilseed trading
- Non-grain feed ingredients
- Wheat gluten trading
