Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt Now Available in New Consumer-Friendly Size
The new 26-ounce box will be available at select retail locations this fall
(WAYZATA, MINN.) October 5, 2020 – Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt, the preferred kosher salt of professional chefs and serious home cooks, today announced that it will offer their authentic kosher salt in a more consumer-friendly, 26-ounce cardboard package.
Long known as the professional kosher salt because of its unique seasoning control and purity, consumers can now purchase the iconic kosher salt in the red box for their home kitchens. Typically sold in a 3-pound box, the smaller 26-ounce packages will be available at select retailers nationally. The company expects to expand its retailer base going forward.
“We know how much people love our kosher salt and are glad to be offering more options at the store to support the way they cook and bake,” said Mike Beaverson, senior marketing manager for Cargill’s salt business. “People know our crafted kosher salt provides perfect seasoning without over-salting, and now it’s in a more consumer-friendly size.”
What makes Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt so unique is that it is authentic kosher salt; flaky and coarse, with no additives. It is coarse enough to pick up and fragile enough to crush between your fingers for perfect seasoning. The taste is clean, so it brings out the true flavors of your dishes. It even contains 53% less sodium by volume compared to granulated salts.
Diamond Crystal® Kosher Salt is still crafted in the same way, in the same facility, that it was originally made more than 130 years ago. These fragile crystals hold extraordinarily pure flavor and season your dishes perfectly.
“There is no other salt like it,” said Beaverson. “It’s the reason it has been the authentic kosher salt in culinary schools for decades.”
