Cargill wins double honors at Vietstock Awards 2024 for its role in promoting sustainable growth in Vietnam’s livestock and aqua sectors

Representatives from Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health Vietnam received the awards at Vietstock Expo & Forum 2024 Opening Day on October 9th, 2024.

Ho Chi Minh City, October 21, 2024 – Cargill business in Vietnam has been recognized at the 12th annual Vietstock Awards 2024 with two prestigious accolades: Outstanding Local Compound Feed Producer Award for the feed business of Cargill Vietnam, and Outstanding Local Premix Feed Producer Award for Provimi. These awards reflect the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and its contributions to the progress of Vietnamese livestock and aqua industries.

Organized by Informa Markets and hosted by the Department of Livestock Production (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), the Vietstock Awards are regarded as a premier recognition in Vietnam’s livestock sector. Reaffirming the important role that the businesses play, the awards promote collaboration, innovation, and celebrate tireless efforts of the industry in addressing evolving challenges in the sector through research, technology, and sustainable business practices. The 2024 Vietstock awards focused on excellence across eight categories, such as waste management technology and manufacturer, from farm to fork, circular economy development, biosecurity, livestock equipment manufacturer, feed producer, and breeder farm. With up to five winners per category, only outstanding businesses contributing to industry growth and farmer well-being were selected.

Cargill Vietnam’s victory in the Outstanding Local Compound Feed Producer Award category underscores its dedication to producing safe, high quality, nutritious feed that ensures the health and growth of livestock and aqua species while also addressing environmental and farming challenges.

With 10 feed manufacturing sites, one swine breeding farm, one aqua nutrition technology application center and ~1,400 employees working across the country, the company remains committed to making a positive impact on Vietnamese agriculture and improving farmer livelihoods.

Provimi, a global leader in premix formulation and a wholly owned subsidiary of Cargill, received the Outstanding Local Premix Feed Producer Award. Present in Vietnam since 1995, Provimi Vietnam was recognized for pioneering tailored nutritional solutions and digital systems.

The awards come as Provimi Vietnam celebrates the first anniversary of its state-of-the-art premix plant in Giang Dien District, Dong Nai Province. Inaugurated in September 2023, this USD 28 million facility features cutting-edge infrastructure and boasts an automation rate of more than 95%, enhancing the precision, traceability, and production capacity of specialty micronutrient products. The plant was designed with the latest technology and strengthens Vietnam’s premix capabilities and selfsufficiency – ensuring high standards of quality control for partners and customers.

Cargill will celebrate its 30-year anniversary in Vietnam in 2025.
