We bring our broad ingredient knowledge and application expertise to problem solve and innovate throughout the entire supply chain, from seed to final product. Not only are we part of Cargill’s global R&D network, but we have four dedicated pilot malting facilities, two pilot brewing facilities, and two beverage application centers, all of which we can utilize to help you reach your goals.
Rapid delivery of new and innovative concepts, prototypes and formulations
Through collaboration with our technical experts, you can benefit from Cargill’s rapid delivery of concepts, mock-ups, and prototypes for customer projects and consumer testing -- all tailored to your specific needs. Our applications expertise allows us to differentiate products with new formulations and commercial support. We can then validate feasibility for you through concept verification and consumer acceptance testing. We offer custom support for your specific project from initial idea generation all the way to commercialization.
One example of our product development work is a recent project with a global customer to develop and commercialize a gluten-free beer within a 10-month timeframe. We are also helping our food and beverage customers generate new, innovative products by leveraging the unique benefits of sprouted grains. Allow Cargill Malt to help you turn your ideas and customer insight into market-leading, revenue-generating products.
Improving the quality of your product
As our customer and partner, you have access to advanced research, solution development and technical expertise that can extend your reach and enhance your own team’s capabilities. We work closely with your team to find root-cause corrective actions to issues causing you and your customers pain. Whether you seek flavor stability, improved efficiency in your process, or increased consistency in your end-product, we can assist in finding what is causing the issue, and offering solutions to fix it permanently. Allow us to put our experts to work on your toughest problems.
For example, Cargill has eliminated beer haze and gushing issues for customers in Europe. We worked with an Asian customer to develop and commercialize barley varieties in Canada that generate better beer flavor stability. In South America, Cargill tightened up an inefficient brewing process. Recently, we worked with one of our Brazilian customers to identify the root-cause of an invisible beer haze issue, and implement corrective action to address it.
Every day, around the globe, we work with our customers to solve problems, meet challenges and uncover new opportunities.
